Sephora Haul

Hello lovelies,

It’s been a while since my last blog post & I do apologise, it’s been a very hectic couple of months! I did pop over to the magical city of New York and obviously I couldn’t not spend hours on end in Sephora without showing you guys. I cannot tell you how much a Sephora in the UK would make a difference to my life. The experience is so much better than a drug or department store let me tell you! I was restrained-ish, but I just wanted to buy EVERYTHING, seriously it’s all so inviting. The team of Sephora know how to lay out a shop!

Sephora – Bronzing Face Powder in Medium, 3

I’m sorry I can’t seem to find a link to it on the Sephora website but I promise you it’s about.  I feel like Sephora own products are not talked about an awful lot on social media and maybe there is a reason for that but I want to try it for myself and I haven’t treated myself to a bronzer in a while so I thought why the hell not! It’s a matte finish which I much prefer, to be honest it doesn’t look wowing but the proof is in the finish! I’m sure I’ll let you know what I think and whether I have found a hidden gem.

Tarte – Creaseless Concealer in 20N Light see here

Before I went into Sephora, I had no idea whether to get Tarte’s Shape Tape or Creaseless Concealer. In the end I went for the creaseless as I have the shape tape foundation and don’t like it although everyone loves the concealer I just am a little scarred from the foundation. I love the packaging on this and the variance of colours was incredible. I’m so glad I waited to swatch these in person rather than risk it online as I found my perfect shade. I cannot wait to get using this!

Tarte – Gifted Mascara see here

This is a repurchase for me, I have one of these babies already which I brought on a bit of a whim. I fell in love with the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara and wanted to see what else Tarte could offer. This, for me is now my all time favourite mascara. It is amazing, it lengthens as well as able to create the right amount of volume. There is no panda eyes and no flakiness. To remove it is a dream unlike so mascaras I own and I just feel that I can always rely on this baby. Seriously Tarte mascaras are amazing and if you have never tired them to try them I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Tarte – Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara see here

Whilst I’m talking about Tarte mascaras, yes I picked up another one. Again I love this mascara and I just thought well it’s slightly cheaper than what I can buy it for online – why the hell not! This is the first Tarte mascara I brought and I have been converted ever since. So much so I brought another, limited edition may I add and I was so excited that I gave it to a friend because she just had to try it – obviously she fell in love just like me. They are such reliable mascaras and I love all the limited edition packaging I do it just makes me want to buy them all!

Huda Beauty – Warm Brown Obsessions Palette see here

I have been wanting one of these little babies ever since they came out but I couldn’t make a decision of what one I wanted. I’m so glad that I was able to see them in real life as pictures can be deceiving sometimes! I chose warm brown in the end as I thought it would be the most wearable for me.  I have high hopes for this as I love the dessert dusk palette which I have reviewed here. The palette itself is a lot smaller in real life let me tell you! I absolutely love the shades though and I cannot wait to report back on how I get on.

Anastasia Beverley Hills – Brow Wiz in Warm Brown see here

Now, I know to a lot of people this will be shocking but I have never tried this product before. I have recommended it to people as I know so many people love it but I have never brought it myself until now. I have been a Benefit eyebrow girl for the longest time and I actually went into Sephora to pick up a new Precisely, my brow pencil but they didn’t have my shade. I’d run out so I needed to pick up something so I decided that the time was now upon me to try it. I will be doing a comparison between the two as I have actually brought the Benefit pencil since I have been back so keep your eyes peeled!

Sephora Lip Cream

This looks a hell of a lot darker than it is in person. For me this is the perfect brown nude. I have been on the hunt for something like this for the longest time as I am lucky enough to be a bridesmaid for two upcoming weddings and I needed a nude lipstick that would work with the dresses. I am hoping this could be the one. I have a few from the range and I think that they are the best affordable liquid lipsticks around, no questions. They are so comfortable and long wearing and just look amazing on the lips. The shade range is pretty impressive so I am glad that I went in with a rough colour in mind rather than be overwhelmed with the colours!

Urban Decay – Born to Run Eyeshadow Palette see here

I didn’t think I would pick this baby up but when I saw it in Sephora I just couldn’t put it down. I love Urban Decay & their eye shadows and I haven’t brought a palette from them in a long time and I thought now was the time. I love all the different colours in the palette and I really hope I am one day confident enough to try them. The packaging is gorgeous I feel like Urban Decay have really upped their game with this release. I cannot wait to get experimenting!

Benefit – Bad Gal Bang Mascara see here

Whilst I was in Sephora I signed up to their rewards scheme as I had spent so much money I was able to pick up this little baby for free. I have wanted to try this for a while but not fork out the price tag to be left with a mascara I didn’t like. It has been widely reviewed and to be honest it’s been very mixed. When it comes to mascara I feel like everyone forgets that everyone’s lashes are different and people prefer different wands/texture etc. With that being said I love that you can now buy these mini’s so if you don’t like it you haven’t spent as much. In the past, for me Benefit mascaras haven’t wowed me – but who knows this may change things.

Fenty Beauty – Pro Filter Primer in Soft Matte see here

Fenty Beauty.. I’m not sure if I ever got excited for this brand being launched. I’m not sure why I guess I am wary of celebrities bringing out things and thinking they are experts. I know the foundation has had very good reviews but I wasn’t sold enough to pick my shade up. However, again I had enough points and I decided to try out the primer. For me, primers are important and I love trying new ones out. The packaging really is lovely and I’m actually pretty excited to try this baby out. I’m sure I’ll let you know my thoughts when I start trying it out.

Bite – Lip Gift Set from Sephora

I can’t find this anywhere online, but I think this is because it’s a birthday gift. Although my birthday was in July and I went to New York in September they were able to give me my birthday gift – AMAZING. I have heard so much about BITE that I thought this was a great chance to see the different lip products they have to offer. You receive a: agave lip balm, lip crayon in Glace and a lipstick in Chai. I love the colours, normally for me the colours are never my bag with a freebie but I am impressed and can’t wait to try them out. Let’s see what these babies have to offer!

That’s all folks! I did pick up more items but they are for gifts for other people so I can’t share these with you. I am so happy with my purchases and although you can pick most of these products up in the UK they are only available online. I much prefer getting to feel a product and see the colour through my own eyes as pictures are not always accurate. Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what your thoughts are on them!

IMATS Haul 2018

Hello my lovelies,

So this post is long overdue, this make up has been sitting in my room for a little while now and I finally have the time to write this post so I can get using the goodies I have brought. If you don’t know IMATS is a international make up artist trade show which travels over the world and comes to London once a year. It is a great day out by getting discounts from your favourite brands as well as finding new brands. You can also watch make up artists in action as well as talks from well known people within the make up industry.

This is my 5th year in going and for me is a massive date in my diary. This year I went with my older sister and one of my close friends who loves make up & beauty nearly as much as I do. I did go into this knowing roughly what I wanted to pick up but then I did get swayed by a lot also, I just can’t help it I’m an addict! We had such a lovely day and after the trade show we ventured to Westfield and sipped cocktails in the sunshine as well as doing a little more shopping, whoops..

If you want to see what I brought last year from IMATS see here

Skin Base Visage see here

I have wanted this for quite some time, I have received so many testers of this and never got round to buying the full size version so IMATS was the time to finally make the purchase. MAC had 25% off their products which I obviously couldn’t refuse. This is a primer that is extremely lightweight and works amazingly with pretty much any foundation. I’m so happy that this is now back in my life.

Prep & Prime, Fix + see here

I honestly don’t know how I have never picked this up before. I have always wanted to try this out but always told myself I shouldn’t buy it. This was a purchase that I wasn’t expecting to make but with the discount I thought this was the perfect time to add it to my collection. Let’s hope it lives up to the all the amazing reviews I have heard about it.

221S Brush see here

This brush was 100% on my list, I already own one of these babies and I knew I needed another one because I use it every single day. Now I know this is pretty pricey for a small brush but it is totally worth it and to be honest I don’t think I could live without it. For me, this is the perfect crease brush, I found the 217 waaaay to big for my eyes and this is just perfect. Seriously pick it up and try it out for yourself because I couldn’t create an eye look without this baby now, life changing!

Revolution/Revolution Pro

Regeneration – Revelation Eyeshadow Palette see here

One thing I said to myself is that I didn’t need any more eyeshadow palettes but here I am talking about one I brought, whoops.. I want to branch a little with some bright pinks which this really does have and to be honest I got sucked into it because of the glitter shades. I’m really looking forward to experimenting with this palette and for me Revolution are pretty good when it comes to the formula of their eye shadows.

Regeneration – Goldmine Eyeshadow Palette see here

I know, another eyeshadow palette! This one I did see first and I just fell in love with the orange tones of the palette. I am really loving an orange eye and although this isn’t for everyone I am totally rocking it with no shame. I always think if you are wanting to experiment with different colours buy an affordable palette like Revolution and then if you get on with the colour you can always invest in other palettes. I can’t wait to start creating looks with this little baby!

4K Highlighter Palette – Rose Gold see here

I’m a sucker for a highlighter palette and to be honest I didn’t even look at it. My sister just came across and said she was buying one and I was like yea I’ll get one to. Luckily she has good taste and I trust her opinion. These shades are completely up my street and to be honest I haven’t brought highlighter in a while and I thought this would be a perfect addition to my collection.

Supreme Matte Finishing Spray see here

I was running a little light on the amount of finishing sprays I have so I thought rather than buy one lets buy two different ones. I always try and go for a matte finishing spray as that’s the look I prefer especially with my oily complexion. I have tried a Revolution one before which I have just run of, I did actually mention this in my last Empties Post so I thought yeah lets buy another one!

Fast Base Foundation Stick in F6 see here

So lets all be honest this little baby is everywhere in the beauty world and I have tried to get my hands on this for the longest time and they have never had my shade in stock. I finally found my shade and I cannot wait to get using this little baby. I have heard so many things about this product and I also had a good recommendation from my older sister so to me it was a no brainer to try out. I’m sure I will be reporting back on my thoughts of this!

Conceal & Define Concealer in C7 and C3 see here

Yes I also found shades in these babies, I think these have to be my favourite purchase of the weekend because I have been wanting to get hold of these for the longest time. I brought two shades in the end C7 for concealing and C3 for my under eyes as a little brightener. I have been wanting to try these out ever since I brought them and I finally can. I have heard nothing but good things about these so I can’t wait to have perfect skin!

Urban Decay

All Nighter Foundation 2.0 see here

This is a product I knew I wanted to get and I had already been colour matched prior to the event so I knew exactly what I wanted. I cannot wait to try this, again another product I have heard so much about and I cannot wait to try this out. I hope it lives up to my expectations. I haven’t ever actually tried an Urban Decay foundation before but I am completely won over by the packaging – I mean who wouldn’t be!?

Naked Skin Concealer in Light Warm see here

Again another product that I knew I wanted to pick up, I was tempted to buy the All Nighter Concealer but thought that would be a bit too heavy so I thought this would be the perfect pairing with the All Nighter foundation. Seriously, I don’t think I’m going to need any base products anytime soon I’m completely stocked up!

Kat Von D – Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Requiem see here

My only liquid lipstick purchase of the haul – be proud! I have two of these in my collection already and I thought it was about time I added another one to my collection. This is something a little bit different to my collection but I thought it was time to mix it up a little. It’s a beautiful purple/pink colour which I think is going to look amazing in the summer months. I mean I’m definitely going to rock it whether people like it or not. I love the shade range that Kat Von D have as they have some really out there shades and to be honest I wish it was acceptable to wear them because I totally would.

OPV – Eyeshadow Palette in Gorgeous II see here

So I brought this on a complete whim but I was just drawn in by the colours and to be honest the pigmentation is insane. This reminded me so much of a Morphe Palette I own but a lot better quality to be honest. I cannot wait to get trying these shades and I just hope the pigmentation is transferred onto my lids. I have never heard of this brand before but I have just realised they are stocked on Beauty Bay so if I like this I may have to explore what else they have to offer.

Nip+Fab – Viper Venom Micro Blue Fix see here

This is my favourite primer and I am running low on the one I currently have and I just knew I needed to buy another. I didn’t actually buy this at IMATS I went to Superdrug after and brought this but I thought it was worthwhile putting this in here. I think this is being discontinued and I am actually gutted, this is amazing and I am obsessed with it. If you prefer silicone based primers then you need to try this. It transforms my skin and works with every single foundation I own. I think I am going to need to buy a few more so I can carry on using this!

That’s all folks, congratulations to you if you made it to the end. It was pretty lengthy! So pleased this is written because now I can start enjoying these products! Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what your thoughts are on them. Also if you have been to IMATS or would like to know a little more information about it let me know and I will answer your questions.

I haven’t written one of these posts in the longest time! Whenever I have a ‘good’ makeup day I always forget to share what I have been using. Top 10 MakeUp Products of 2017

Hello my lovelies!

It’s nearly the end of 2017, I’m completely baffled by how quickly this year has gone. I thought it would be a good idea to give you a round up of my favourite products of 2017. If you have read my blog for a while some of these products will not be a surprise however some I absolutely adore and for whatever reason I haven’t mentioned before. I will also be doing a skincare version of this post so keep your eyes peeled!

I Heart Makeup – Goddess of Love Triple Baked Highlighter see here

So if you know me, I blooming love highlighter. Who doesn’t!? I have brought so many new highlighters this year and my collection is a bit overwhelming. However, you know you have those days where you are indecisive so you stick to one. This is the one. I know for most this will be a bit of a strange choice but it’s so blooming gorgeous. I much prefer a golden highlight and for me this is just perfect. It creates such a beautiful glow on your cheeks and personally I just don’t think you can beat it.

I mean for me I’m not a massive a fan of the packaging, it’s a little young for me and it’s so bulky it takes up a lot of space in my collection. But, I can forgive it because it’s so damn beautiful. I love it even more because of the price because you get so much product. I mean I use this at least once a week and it still seems as though I haven’t made a dent in it. Seriously, if you haven’t tried this highlight it’s a must!

Benefit – Hoola Bronzer see here

So most makeup lovers have this little baby in their collection, if you haven’t tried this why the hell not!? I have been upping my contour game this year, well attempting to anyway and this little baby has been with my every step of the way. Although it’s branded as a bronzer it’s the perfect contour shade for me. It has never let me down and it is the perfect shade for my skin tone. I hit pan earlier on in the year and I got so worried but it’s still going strong.

I am trying to use other contour products but I always go back to this wonderful product. I don’t know what it is, it’s just perfect. I love everything about it and I know that I won’t be giving up this baby anytime soon. I know I have mentioned this product in quite a few favourites I just love sharing how amazing this product is. I know it’s a very hyped up product but there is a good reason why!

Nip + Fab – Viper Venom Micro Blur Fix Primer see here

So this is fairly recent purchase to my collection, again I have brought way to many primers this year! This has by far been my favourite. In fact I will go as far to say this is my favoruite primer in my collection currently. This is the only product I have from Nip + Fab and I seriously need to buy some more if this little baby is to go by. It is a little pricey at £20 but I believe it is on offer in Superdrug quite often and I found mine in TK MAXX for a fraction of the price.

I have written a full review of the product here so if you want a little more information on it then this will help. This is a clear gel primer that is more on the silicone side. I thought this was worth mentioning because people have different preferences. I absolutely adore this primer, super long wearing and makes all of my foundations look that much better. I seriously don’t think a primer can beat this, but we shall see!

Anastasia Beverly Hills – Modern Renaissance Palette see here

Yes of course this little baby made on the list. I am OBSESSED with this palette. I absolutely love it. I was determined this year to shake up my eyeshadow looks and this little baby has opened my eyes to so much. The colours in this palette are just AMAZING. If you are thinking about buying this palette I seriously would go ahead and buy it. These are the best eye shadows I have ever used formula wise. They beat the likes of Urban Decay and Charlotte Tilbury.

The only annoying thing is that I have kind of wrecked the packaging. It’s beautiful packaging don’t get me wrong but seriously it gets so messy! I have completed a full review of this product here so if you are still on the fence this may help. I know I won’t stop using this palette for the longest time. I love you Modern Renaissance thank you so much to opening my eyes to beautiful colours.

Soap & Glory – Kick Ass Instant Retouch Pressed Powder see here

I never thought I would see the day that I would rave about a powder. I mean seriously it’s the most boring product I apply to my face daily but I’m so impressed with this little baby. It just works with my skin and is great at oil control. It just sets my make up and I never feel like I need to touch up. I thought at first that it must be my primer but when I swapped my powder I noticed a difference. I never realised how important finding a good powder was.

I have mentioned this in recent favourite posts actually because I’m so impressed. I don’t have many make-up products from soap and glory because I feel it is slightly overpriced but the powder is seriously worth the money. I have gone through a couple of these little babies and I don’t think I will stop using this any time soon. If you are on the hunt for a new powder I recommend trying this out.

Benefit – Roller Lash Mascara see here

Another Benefit product, I didn’t realise this until now – whoops! So I haven’t really featured this in my blog I don’t think. The reason why is because I don’t use it as my upper lash mascara. It just doesn’t do what I want it to do I have had it for a while but I didn’t want to throw it away because it’s a waterproof mascara. Unfortunately a lot of mascara I own when I apply to my bottom lashes transfer to under my eyes so I look like a panda.

So, this little baby I apply to my bottom lashes every single day. A little tip if your mascara is running out but you don’t want to throw it away until it’s completely used up I would use it as a bottom lash mascara. I don’t think I will repurchase because I have found so many wonderful mascaras but I do use this every single day so it was worth mentioning.

MAC – 221 Brush see here

For whatever reason I don’t really talk about brushes, 2018 is the year I introduce you to my brush collection I will warn you it’s quite extensive! However, a couple of years ago I jumped on the hype of MAC’s 217 brush and although I love it, it just wasn’t working how I wanted it to. For my birthday this year I got my makeup done by MAC, it was so much fun! She started to work on my eyes and focusing on the crease and she used this brush and literally it has become the best brush I own.

It’s so flipping soft, it is perfect for crease work. You know when you never can replicate what people do to you even using the same products – I could replicate it. Now it’s not down to my skills it’s this blooming brush. I use it every single day, my crease always look AMAZING. I need to buy more of these because they are the best brush ever. With a £20 price tag though it does deter me.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Urban Decay – Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original see here

Eyeshadow primer is a must for me, if you don’t use it WHY!? The best one I have ever tried is this little baby. It seriously is amazing and my eye shadow always looks so much better. I can’t apply eye shadow without using this. However, I really don’t like the new packaging I much prefer the whole squeezy tube than doe foot but the product inside is still amazing as ever.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

NYX – Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Teddy see here

So this was really hard to only put one lip product in this post but I thought I would narrow it down to just one, the most worn. This shade is flipping gorgeous. This year has been this year of a brown lip for me. The formulation of these lipsticks are incredible and one of the best I have ever tried. For a drug store this product this is seriously impressive. I seriously need to get my hands on more shades and I am sure you will see more from me.

I have actually done a full review of this here so if you would like a little more information then this may help. If you haven’t tried this liquid lipstick then you seriously need to – there are so many beautiful colours in the range and if you are a lipstick junkie like me then you’ll love this!

Benefit – Precisely, My Brow Pencil in Shade 4 see here

Last but by no means least my eyebrow savior. I know another Benefit product – I clearly have been loving the brand this year without even realising.  This is the best brow pencil EVER. I don’t use this product for the whole of my brows, I use it for the front to create a more natural brow as they are a little sparce. I absolutely love it, and I don’t think I am going to be using a different brow pencil any time soon.

This has made my Top 3| Eyebrow Products obviously. My only annoyance is that I just go through it so quickly, for the price I do expect a little more in it BUT it doesn’t take away the fact that it is flipping amazing. Benefit really are at the top of their game for brow products. There are brow products for everyone in the range – if you haven’t tried any go and the lovely people on the counter will always help match you to your correct shade.

Hats off to you if you made it to the end of the post! Let me know if you have tried any of these products and how they work for you. Keep your eyes peeled for my top 10 skincare products of 2018!

Empties #11

Hello my lovelies,

I’m back again with another Empties post, I think these are my favourite posts to write and read. Unfortunately they are always the longest posts because I can never shut up. I clearly have a lot to say. I honestly didn’t think I would be doing these as often as I do I try and leave it as long as possible but I have 10 empty products I mean seriously how do I go through it all!?

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Batiste – Dry Shampoo in Blush see here

In my opinion Batiste is the best brand for dry shampoo. I can’t live without it and I always have a bottle handy. Personally I don’t have a fragrance I go to, normally it’s whatever takes my fancy in the design when I’m choosing. The big bottles lasts so long and are such good value for money. I will forever be buying this goodness.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Soap & Glory – Peaches & Clean Deep Cleansing Milk see here

This is another firm favourite of mine, it is a complete savior. When I need a reliable cleanser this is one of the ones I normally go for. I have actually written a full review about this product here if you want a little more information on the cleanser. The only annoying this is that I majorly struggle to get the last bit out of the bottle. Seriously there is still a decent amount of product in there and I can’t seem to get to it. Lucky me I have another bottle of this ready and waiting to open!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

TRESemme – Luxurious Moisture Shampoo see here

Annoyingly I can only find a link for the duo and not the shampoo separately. I did finish the conditioner a little while ago which I mentioned in a previous empties post here I was so happy when I finally finished this. The shampoo really went on for the longest time. I don’t think it worked well with my hair in the end because it became resistant to the effects. I think in future I will be sticking to getting smaller of bottles of shampoo. I like to mix it up a little.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

The Body Shop – Detangling Spray for Coloured Hair see here

Annoyingly for whatever reason this is a very hard product to get hold of. I have very knotty hair even when I condition my hair I still need a helping hand and this is a little god send. It does exactly what it says on the bottle and gives that little extra moisture that I’m not complaining about.

Sadly, I don’t have another one waiting in the wings to use because it’s so hard to get hold of. I am currently using another one. If anyone can let me know of any good detangling sprays that would be fab – I find these so hard to get hold of. Why don’t brands understand that people get knotty hair and need help!

Revolution – Strobe Luxe Palette see here

Ok so this isn’t an empty BUT I have smashed it to pieces, accidentally may I add, on the floor. I can’t really use it far too messy and they didn’t wow me so I think rather than creating more mess it’s time to say goodbye. It’s a cute little palette and I’m in love with the packaging but I never reached for it much and the last time I did I dropped it. We just weren’t destined to be. I’m not sure if I would repurchase this as I have so many highlighters and I don’t think I will miss this much..

Original Source – Limited Edition Hibiscus & Pomegranate Tea Shower Gel see here

I really enjoy the Original Source shower gels, they are perfect for travelling and so easy to pick up. They have so many scents now and they are always on offer. This one I really did enjoy, I love the smell of pomegranate, it’s so fresh and is the perfect shower gel especially first thing in the morning. If I see this on the shelves again I will be buying it again but with it being limited edition and I think it will be a little tricky.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Soap & Glory – Kick Ass Pressed Powder in Totally Translucent see here

I LOVE this powder. I feel like for me powders are really hard to impress me. I mean they set your make up I always buy translucent so I never see it – it’s just a step of my makeup and normally just use the same one time and time again. However, this has really impressed me.

It’s great at oil control and does an amazing job at setting my make up. It’s one of the only powders I have repurchased in a long time because I knew I couldn’t be without it. The packaging I must say is a little flimsy my new one has already come unstuck from the backing so I can’t travel with it. £12 for a drugstore powder is a little pricey though..

Garnier – Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash see here

I had such high hopes for this product and actually it was fairly disappointing. I am not saying it’s a bad product I guess I just expected more from it, especially as I love their original micellar water. For me that is a holy grail product, but this I used up because it was ok but I won’t be repurchasing I’m afraid. I have heard so many good reviews about this but it just didn’t work the way I wanted it to. I have written a full review on this here

Urban Decay – Eyeshadow Primer in Sin see here

So I love Urban Decay Primer potion in original. I have quite a few samples of the other shades they have to offer and I have finally decided to get round to using them. For me I can’t apply eyeshadow without applying a primer to my lids. I just can’t do it. I thought I would love this as much as I love my original but sadly I didn’t.

The colour is extremely pink toned which really isn’t my cup of tea. It created a base that had colour in it which doesn’t compliment my skin tone. I mean it worked the same way but the colour really isn’t for me and resulted in me having to apply another base to even the tone out. Sorry but I will be sticking to the original primer potion!

PS Love (Primark) – Oval Cosmetic Pads

We all know that I’m obsessed with these. They are in nearly every single Empties post that I publish. These are the only cotton pads that I will use. They are perfect for removing make up and for 90p you really can’t go wrong. I have been stocking up and I think I have another two packets ready and waiting to go. Lets hope they aren’t discontinued anytime soon!

Hats off to you if you made it to the end! It’s so satisfying after I have written these posts because I can finally throw all the products away! Let me know if you have used any of these products and what your thoughts are on them.

Hello my lovelies!

Soo I think you will need a good cup of tea and a snack to read this, I have an awful lot of empties to get through! This is the time of the year when I use a lot of products up as I don’t want to buy anything new because it’s all going on my Christmas list! I feel like I am using a lot of products ready to make space for the new. I cannot believe I have now done 10 Empties posts. These posts are great to look back on to see exactly what I use and how often.

Primark – Oval Cosmetic Pads

As we all know Primark still haven’t got round to the online shopping thing so I’m sorry I can’t link these but these are the BEST cotton pads I have ever used. I feel like it’s getting harder and harder to get hold of these little babies all my local Primark stores have few if any of these. Luckily my older sister is on hand when I’m running low and picks them up from her store. Seriously if you haven’t tried these – you need to. It’s a no brainer for 90p!

Jo Malone – English Pear & Freesia Scented Candle see here

So these are my favorite EVER candles, you just can’t get better. English Pear and Freesia is one of my favoruite scents from Jo Malone. I have the cologne in this scent and whenever I am invited to a Jo Malone store for a massage I always incorporate this scent. It’s fruity, but not too overpowering in the sweet department. It’s very crisp and works perfectly in my bedroom to create a cosy atmosphere especially when I am having a little pamper time.

It burns beautifully and seems to go on for aaaaages. I am rubbish at describing scents to do pop into your local store and smell it, it’s just divine. I will be keeping the jar so I can put bits and bobs in – recycling! I won’t be rushing out to buy this as I do have another Jo Malone candle on the go, but if anyone wanted to buy me one then of course I would happily accept.

Snow Fairy – Shower Gel see here

This is my FAVOURITE ever shower gel. I mean who doesn’t love this!? I hate that it is limited edition but thankfully I stock up around Christmas time and luckily I am gifted a few bottles so I can use it throughout the year. My oh my who doesn’t want pink glittery shower gel!? If you haven’t smelt this then head to your local Lush store! It is very sweet so if that isn’t for you then I’m sorry this probably isn’t for you. I love how the scent lingers on the skin and I can smell it hours after. The shower gel itself really is one of the best formulas I have ever tried. Basically, go out and buy it – but leave some for me because I still need to stock up!

Catwalk by TIGI – Oatmeal and Honey Nourishing Conditioner see here

So both my sisters swear by this range and I thought it was about time I tried it. I actually stole the bottle of my younger sister, whooops! But I just had to tried it and see what all the fuss was about. First off, it smells AMAZING seriously if you love the smell of honey you’ll love this. This range is perfect for me because it focuses on dry and damaged hair which is literally me. I am always up for putting extra moisture in my hair.

It really is amazing, I have only tried the conditioner but I seriously noticed the difference so I think I need to repurchase the duo so I can really feel the benefits. It is more expensive than drug store brands but in my opinion the couple of pounds extra really is worth it. I will be picking this up quite quickly I think!

Superdrug – Nourishing Nail Polish Remover see here

For me I don’t spend a lot on nail polish removers, all I want is for it to take off my nail polish so I can paint them with a different colour. I always go for a cheap and cheerful product and it depends on what shop I am in as to what I go for. It did the job and it lasted for a really long time. I probably will repurchase this again but currently I am using a Boots own nail polish remover – they all do the same job right?

Sephora – Green Tea Face Mask see here

I picked this up on my first trip to Sephora and I was amazed by all the different face masks. As soon as I got home I wanted to try them all. This one appealed to me the most as it aims to mattify and control blemishes. With the oily skin that I have this sounded perfect. The whole sheet mask concept is still all new to me and now I wish I picked up more of this one because I really think it helped my skin. I definitely noticed a difference and for the few days after the mask I honestly thought the amount of oil produced on my skin decreased. It is one of the first times I genuinely notice a difference in my skin after a mask.

I need to get my hands on more of these. If anyone wants to pick me a few up on their trip then I would more than happily accept them! They are amazing if you have oily sin like me you need to go out and get your hands on some! Game Changer!

Soap & Glory – The Greatest Scrub of All see here

For me, this isn’t the greatest face scrub of all. Very bold title but it really wasn’t anything life changing. I mean it’s a good scrub but it isn’t the best I have used. I don’t feel like the beads inside really did much as they were so small. For sensitive skin this would be great but for me I just felt like I needed them to be a bit bigger to do much. I mean it left my skin feeling smooth but apart from that it didn’t do much else. I would say I think this has helped to combat my spots that I have had recently. Would I buy this again? Maybe if Soap & Glory were doing 3 for 2 but I wouldn’t go to Boots to specifically buy this. Just a little disappointing.

Sleek – Brow Kit in Light see here

I really enjoy this product, an awful lot. I do only use the wax side never the powder for me the powder is difficult to work with but that’s my personal preference. For a drug store brow product I would say this is really up there with some of the best. It’s pigmented, easy to use and the perfect colour for me. I have actually already brought another one of these because I enjoy it that much. If you don’t want to pay Benefit prices for their brow kit I would seriously consider this one!

Collection – Primed & Ready see here

Another firm favoruite in my make up collection. I have loved this for a long time. It is the perfect primer to put on in a hurry and know that your base make up won’t end up all down your face. It’s really the perfect base and especially for the price is amazing. I would say that this is a silicone based primer and I know this isn’t for everyone but if you want to try it I don’t think you will be disappointed.

This is one of those products when you start to run low you buy another so you are never without it. It’s perfect for me because of my oily complexion as it is aimed at mattifying your complexion. If you suffer like me this may be a good one to try!

Urban Decay – Eyeshadow Primer Potion see here

I cannot apply eyeshadow without applying a bit of this. I actually couldn’t imagine not applying a primer to my eyelids. It’s a vital part of my routine and this wins every time. I have tried a few in my time and none have been as good as this. It creates an even base for your eye shadow and enhances the colour. My eye shadow stays on a lot longer when using this – why wouldn’t you use one!?

Although this is a small tube it has lasted me AGES because you need the tiniest amount. I just can’t imagine my life without it. I already have another one going but I really don’t like the new packaging – I don’t need a doe foot applicator to apply primer my finger works perfectly thank you! Bring back the original packaging please!

Clinique – Moisture Surge see here

This is a mini which I received as a gift with purchase. I had wanted to try this for the longest time so I was very happy when I got my hands on it. This really has done complete wonders to my skin. It is AMAZING. I love it so so much and I was absolutely gutted when it ran out. It has a gel consistency and it just sinks into your skin. My skin definitely felt the benefits of using this.

I used this in the morning daily and it instantly just sunk into my skin and even on no make up days my skin looked so much better. I am really wanting to get my hands on the full size version but I have so many moisturisers to use up I feel like this is going to have to wait. I just want to carry on using it, this product is never going to be forgotten!

That’s all folks! Give yourself a gold star if you made it to the end I know it was quite a long post! Let me know if you have tried any of the products I have mentioned and what you thought of them.

I have recently been experimenting with my eye makeup and actually started to wear pink eyeshadow. For me this is a big thing and actually I am blooming loving it!

Birthday Wishlist

Hello my lovelies,

I am back with a slightly different post, but I like reading these sorts of posts and as my birthday is fast approaching I thought I would do one. Normally I give my list of what I want to my family months in advance, sad I know but I blooming love birthdays. Especially mine, and I am that person that draws it out for as long as possible – who doesn’t love a good celebration!? My birthday is on the 22nd July, so if anyone is after buying me a present this may help 😉

I actually found it pretty difficult this year, as the years go by I want less & less, I just always buy it myself. This year my lovely boyfriend is taking me to Paris in September as part of my birthday – I am beyond excited for this! For me, I do like receiving gifts that aren’t on my list – it’s a good test for me on how well people know me – anyone else think this? Anyway this is a little bit of fun and a helping hand if people are struggling what to get me.

Birthday Wishlist

  1. Too Faced – Better than Sex Mascara see here

I have wanted this for the longest time, for some reason I have always put off buying this for myself & I’m not sure why. I know I really want to try it out – it was the first thing I thought of when I was thinking of what I would like for my birthday. Weirdly, I don’t own much Too Faced makeup at all so I really need to delve into their products because I have heard so many good things.

2. Happiness can be found – Dumbledore Quote see here

I love a good quote me – if anyone knows me they know I LOVE Harry Potter. It has always been a big part of my childhood & it still is now. I watch the films constantly and I have been to Harry Potter studios countless times. The inspiring quotes in both the books and films have always stayed with me and this one is very apt for me at the moment, overcoming a lot of struggles and remembering to stay positive.

3. Urban Decay – Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette see here

This is a recent launch that I just need to get my hands on. I have 3 of the other Naked palettes and I need this to add to my collection. The shades are beautiful, these are the shades I have been experimenting with recently & I can just hear it calling out my name, sadly it is currently sold out & I feel this is going to be a struggle to get hold of for a little while which makes me sad 😦

4. MAC – Blue Brown Pigment see here

This is another product I have wanted for the longest time. Every time I go to buy it, it is always sold out. I just think is beautiful & I really want to get my hands on it. MAC is a brand that I have fallen out of love a little, but actually I know if I walked into a MAC store I would come out with so many things. This really is top of my list right now, who can say no to this beautiful pigment!?

5. Moana DVD see here

I haven’t seen this yet and I know I need to. I have heard so many good things about it I just want to watch it. No one wanted to watch it in the cinema with me and now it’s on DVD I want to get it. Who doesn’t want to check out the latest Disney film? I have heard a lot of the songs and already I know I’m going to love the film.

6. Mickey Mouse Medium Soft Toy see here

If anyone has seen my room, I have an awful lot of Disney soft toys. It’s a love of mine and I love every single one of them dearly they sit on my bed and most of the time I end up sleeping with them. I am always wanting new ones especially when I recently went to DisneyLand Paris I wanted them all. For some reason I have a Minnie, but no Mickey – how is this even possible!? So for my birthday I think it is only right that I have them both so Minnie is no longer on her own. Whats Minnie without Mickey!?

7. Zoeva – Coral Spectrum Blush Palette see here

This is another product I have wanted for the longest time, I haven’t placed a Cult Beauty order for a little while and I can’t justify buying other products just so I can get free delivery – yes I am that person & plus I like the samples you get with your order. I love blush and as I am getting older I am not after that bright pink cheeks I want a more subtle cheek colour and this palette looks absolutely perfect! Zoevea is an amazing brand, so anything from the brand would be amazing!

So that’s all guys, there are other things I would like, like for my makeup to be done by MAC for my actually birthday as I am having a little party and every girl needs to pampered on her birthday along with a spa day with my bestie Nadia as our birthdays are quite close together. Or prosecco – I blooming LOVE the stuff. Who knows what I will receive and what I do receive I will be forever grateful.

I will be doing a ‘What I got for my Birthday’ post so keep your eyes peeled for the days that follow the 22nd July. My countdown has well & truly begun!

Hello my lovelies,

So you may or may not be aware of the International Makeup Artist Trade Show otherwise known as IMATS. The trade show goes all over the world and comes to London, Kensington Olympia once a year. Essentially, it’s a celebration of makeup. Makeup artists from all over the world come together to show like minded people what they can do as well as actually showing people tips and tricks. Artists range from the likes of film makeup to the crazy beautiful people who are blooming good with makeup. Also, they have seriously good discounts on brands especially the ones that are tricky to get hold of the in UK!

This has now been my 4th year of going, it’s mine and my sister’s tradition and we do not miss it. This year was a little different and we each invited a friend each who would enjoy it and boy we had a good time. It always gives me inspirations for new looks and continue to be better – if this sounds up your street I would certainly go have a little look into it because it’s a date in my calendar I never miss!

I thought I would share with you what I brought at the trade show, I was a little disappointed that there was no Zoevea this year because I had such a long list of things I wanted to get but I seriously am obsessed with everything I brought.

This is the first place I went to and actually they had 20% off their products – I would be a total fool if I didn’t take them up on this!

Angel Veil Primer – see here

I couldn’t not pick this up, I have heard an awful lot about this and every time I go into my local Boots store it is always out of stock. No brainer really!

Soft Matte Lip Creams in Dubai and Istanbul see here

I love these, and I have quite a collection building now and I am so excited to add these to it. Can we all just appreciate the names of the Soft Matte Lip Creams NYX have seriously impressed me with this one. I have done a review of them over on my blog here so if you haven’t tried the range before my review may help you out!

HD Finishing Powder in Translucent see here

Powder is never something I try out. I’m not sure why, I think because I think it is a very basic part of my routine and I stick to two powders that I know won’t let me down. I thought that it was time to branch out and I have heard some good reviews on this so I thought why not!

Face and Body Glitter in 11 Violet see here

This is something that is out of my comfort zone, colour wise. I want to jazz my eye makeup up a little and I thought as we are coming into warmer weather it means I can experiment with glitters. I seriously cannot wait to try this out!

Kat Von D

This was the first year they have been IMATS and I had a list of things I wanted to pick up. They had around 20% off the retail price and they were giving out mini Liquid lipsticks and tattoo liners for waiting in the queue – WINNING!

Everlasting Lipstick in Lovesick see here

This was one of the freebies that we got and is a sample size – but this is fairly generous and is a great way to try out the formula of the lipsticks. I wanted to pick one of these up but as I got one free I thought I didn’t need another one. I will be doing a review on this to let you know what I think so keep your eyes peeled..

Lock-it Setting Powder in Translucent see here

I have had my eye on this product for a long time and when I found out Kat Von D was at IMATS it was something I added to my list instantly. I am so happy I have got my hands on this and I really hope that it lives up to my expectations!

Tattoo Liner in Trooper Black see here

I needed this in my life and when I finally got my hands on this dreams had come true. I have waited so long to get my hands on this and now I have it. When I got home I found that they had put a travel size tattoo liner in the bag. I won’t be running out of this stuff for a while!

Urban Decay

I love Urban Decay, but as the stand was super busy I kinda gave up looking. The discount wasn’t crazy so I wasn’t too fussed of not picking any new bits up.

Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original see here

This is something I can’t live without and the current one I have is nearly running out so I thought it was a good time to restock and I am loving the redesign of the new packaging!

I love Crown, they are a brilliant make up company who are truly underrated. Their brushes are good quality and their palettes are pretty impressive also. If you can get your hands on any of their products I seriously urge you to check them out.

35 Color Rose Gold Eyeshadow Palette see here

This seriously caught my eye – I have been after the Morphe 35F palette for the longest time and I am still waiting for it to come into stock somewhere but this seriously reminded of that a palette and it was £3.50 cheaper. I will be doing a full review on this so keep your eyes peeled!

Have you ever been to IMATS, I would love to know your thoughts on the show. Let me know if you have tried any of these products, what did you think of them?
