Empties #17

Hello my lovelies,

Another empties post, although I haven’t done one of these for a while I know another one will be coming very soon. I can go a week or so without using anything up and then all of a sudden I finish everything at once. As I have quite a few products in my basket I thought I’d ensure there is a mix of products in each post just so there is something for everyone.

Benefit – Precisely my Brow Pencil in Shade 4 see here

So if you have read my blog for a while you will know that I LOVE this brow pencil, I am obsessed. I mentioned it in my Top 3 Eyebrow Products and it is still there grabbing the top spot. Up until recently though I used this mainly to finish off my brows and ensure that the shape was right, now I use it for my whole brow with the use of no other products and I have fallen in love with it even more – I didn’t know this was even possible. It creates such a natural brow and I love the finish. I did mention in my recent Sephora Haul that I will be comparing the ABH Brow Whiz as I now have both so watch out for that!

Obviously I have already purchased this and to be honest I have gone through so many I don’t see myself stopping buying anything else anytime soon. Benefit’s brow range really is great, if you are unsure on what to go for, head to your local Benefit and they are more than happy to test the products out on you and find the right one for you.

Too Faced – Better than Sex Mascara see here

So, a lot of people love this and I mean really praise that it is an amazing mascara. It took me a long time to finally accept that I needed to try it out and I was lucky enough to receive two at once for my birthday last year. Now, don’t get me wrong it’s a good mascara but was I wowed by it? No. It gives volume and my lashes look nice but I find this very flaky and it is rather annoying. I think there are better mascaras out there that are around the same price point or actually lower. If you still want to try it, I would suggest buying a mini version to make sure you like it.

I still have another one of these to get through but it’s just not something I reach for very often. I just have better mascaras in my collection which I much prefer. I’m sorry to all you fans out there of this mascara but it just isn’t my favourite. I don’t think after I have got through my next tube I will be repurchasing.

Gariner – Fresh Radiance Boosting Scrub see here

At first, I didn’t think was my cup of tea. I like a scrub that is fairly thick, I just feel like it works with my skin better and also my skin can take it. However, I persevered because the scent is amazing. It is this beautiful orange citrus scent that really does make me want to use this. I’m so glad I carried on because I really enjoyed this and I think my skin did too. Although the scrub in finer it still works wonders on the skin and I feel like my skin looks a whole load brighter after using this.

By the end I was gutted that it was all gone as I would happily continue using it. I have a lot of exfoliators/scrubs in my collection so I will use some of those up first but I will keep an eye out for it when I’m shopping for a new exfoliator.

Rimmel – Lasting Finish Foundation in 200 Soft Beige see here

I think, currently this is one of my favourite drug store foundations. I was so annoyed as I went to use this and realised it has pretty much run out. I very quickly repurchased this as I just find if my skin is not playing ball I can pop this foundation on and I feel a lot more presentable to the world. This is different to a lot of my foundations with it not being matte. I am more oily than anything else but I don’t have any problems with this at all. The longevity of this is incredible and although I have tested the whole 25 hour claim I would say a solid 14 hours and it’s still battling on.

It has been a massive saviour in the summer with SPF 20 in it, it’s just one less layer of cream on my face and it has saved me I’m sure when it comes to not burning my face. I don’t see this foundation being talked about an awful lot in the blogging community but for me I flipping love it. Whether you have dry, normal or combination skin I think you can happily makes this work.

Lush – Snow Fairy Shower Gel see here

You may be thinking, hun this has only just been released again. Yes I know, but I stock up around Christmas time so I can use this all year round. I love it too much to just appreciate it for only a couple months of the year. It is a little pricey for a shower gel but it is so worth it. If you are into your sweeter scents then this right up your street. If you have never tired it though, seriously where have you been!? I won’t delve into my love for this too much because I could write pages and pages, yes I am addicted.

I believe I still have another bottle in my stocks to use but I am sure I will be stocking up now I know it has been released again and of course it will be going on my Christmas list so if you want to get me something this right here makes my life complete!

Herbal Essences – Hello Hydration Conditioner see here

I am a big lover of Herbal Essences. I have tired a lot of their different ranges and there aren’t many I don’t like. This I would say is my favourite as dry ends is something I really struggle with. It helps that it’s cheap and cheerful but it really is good for the price point. I notice the difference when I change to a different brand, my hair just doesn’t seem the same. I recently had a hair cut – I hadn’t had once for over a year, I know it’s bad. But with the hair cut and using this my hair is in great condition!

I have a few conditioners to use in my collection before I go out and buy something new but I always go back to this especially when it’s on offer which it quite often is, I just can’t refuse.

MAC – Velvet Teddy Lipstick see here

Sorry, how in the world did did these lipsticks creep up to £17.50!? If you are going to buy a lipstick MAC is the place to go however, wow they are getting expensive. This is a proud moment for me because this is the first lipstick I have EVER finished. I knew it was going to be this because the shade is just great. This is the shade that set off my love affair with brown toned lips, I barely wear anything other than brown now. This is a great lipstick and if you are still on the fence about it I would totally put it on your wish-list. Especially with a lip liner underneath it’s just a beautiful shade.

This the one product I will be keeping hold of for my back-to-MAC I just need one more product to then be able to pick up a free eye shadow or lipstick. If I am honest I think I will just get this little baby because I really miss it in my collection but I’m not convinced I want to pay £17.50 for it!

Nip + Fab Viper Venom Micro Blur Fix see here

Again if you have read any primer related posts from me you will know that this is currently my favourite primer, and to be honest I don’t see that changing any time soon. If you prefer a more silicone based primer then this is worth giving a go. I find that for my oily skin this works wonders and I am never left disappointed by it. You only need a little bit on your face and I really notice the difference when I don’t wear this. I have actually written a full review on this here so if you want to know more than this may help.

Of course I have already repurchased this and I will continue to for the foreseeable future. TK MAXX is a good place to pick up nip + fab a little cheaper than the drug store. Having said that drug stores always have offers on with nip + fab or 3 for 2 so it’s definitely worth looking into.

Primark – PS Oval Cotton Pads

Of course these are in here, they make an appearance near enough every empties post. These cotton pads really are the only ones I will use and I don’t see this changing anytime soon. Every time I pop into Primark I am always stocking up on these babies I mean for 90p you really can’t go wrong. They are a lot more durable than a lot of other cotton pads on the market. Seriously try them out for yourselves you won’t be disappointed!

Batiste – Dry Shampoo in Cherry see here

Last but by no means least, another regular empties product the holy grail hair product my dry shampoo. I honestly don’t know how I coped before using dry shampoo and in particular Batiste. It’s just incredible and to be honest I don’t need to try another dry shampoo because I know that this does the job. I can’t  just have one of these in my draws I always have to have another one as a back up in case I run out. What’s your favourite scent as I feel I just use the same two!

Congratulations if you made it to the end of the post! I didn’t realise how long this will be, but you all earn yourself a gold star. Let me know if you have tired any of these products and what your thoughts are on them. I’d love to know!

Empties #13

Hello my lovelies,

Another empties post, I find these my most favourite posts to write and actually they are my favoruite blog posts to read. One because I’m really nosy and two I feel that you get a greater understanding of how the products performed and whether a person would buy it again. I need to keep on top of these as I don’t know if 10 products per post is a little much because I do go on a little. If you want to read my previous empties post see here

Herbal Essences – Hello Hydration Shampoo see here

Yes I know I haven’t finished the conditioner but there is still a lot left I thought well lets just get it over an done with. I really enjoy Herbal Essences as a brand their hair care is probably one of my favourites because it’s affordable and they do a good job of cleaning my hair. With the winter months I chose this one as I thought I needed to give my hair some TLC and it did just the trick. The products definitely work better as a pair, I mean they work well individually just not as well. I would definitely repurchase this again especially with the scents of all their ranges. However, currently I am trying to inject some volume into my hair through my shampoo but I’m sure I will pick this up again soon.

Lush – Snow Fairy Shower Gel

Now I’m sorry because I can’t link this because it is seasonal for Christmas.. but I have so many bottles of this stuff to use over the course of the year and this was one of them. This is my all time favourite shower gel I have ever used. The smell is incredible, extremely sweet so it does depend on your tastes but I love it. The smell actually lingers on your body for hours too which I love. Who doesn’t want to smell of candy cane!? It’s also pink and has glitter in it – what more could you ask for. Every year I make sure I pick up multiple bottles, if you haven’t smelt this make a mental note to pop into a Lush store around Christmas time to smell this. I promise you, you won’t regret it.

Rimmel – Fix & Protect Make Up Primer see here

I have made it my mission recently to start using up primers, I have so many and this one I have just used to finally get rid of it as it’s been in my collection for quite some time. I don’t believe this is the first bottle of this I would say second. I used to really love this but I think as I have delved into the primer world more and more there are better quality products on the market now.

I mean for a drugstore primer it’s OK and I mainly use this as my SPF as not all my foundations contain SPF so this is a little savior. Do I think this keeps my make up on for longer or improves the look of my skin, not really. Although I have loved this, I think I have grown out of it so I don’t think I will be repurchasing this again, you have been good to me Fix & Protect now it’s time to move on.

Benefit – Precisely my Brow Pencil in Shade 4 see here

For me this is a holy grail eyebrow product. I absolutely adore it and I panic every time this is running low and I have to go and buy another. I have been through quite a few of these babies in recent years, it’s just perfect. I don’t do my whole brow with it, mainly to define and add a little more colour and shape to the sparse areas of my brows. I just can’t live without it, I have tried and failed.

I have been running low of this for a little while and every website I went on was sold out of this in my shade, I had no idea how popular it was but I completely know why. In my eyes Benefit really shine when it comes to brow products, I have never been disappointed. I love this so much it made it to my Top 3| Eyebrow Products Seriously if you haven’t tried this brow range, it’s a must!

Garnier – Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water see here

Another holy grail product. I don’t actually think I could live my life without this product. It is the only micellar water I will ever use, I have been through countless bottles of this stuff and I know I will buy it until the end of time. My skin loves it and it works so well, I use it morning and night without fail. There is so much for this love in the beauty world and there is a damn good reason why, because its AMAZING. I’m sure I could write an essay about this but I won’t because it would bore everyone to tears. Honestly if you haven’t tried this before, please go down to your nearest store and pick it up!

Benefit – Porefessional see here

Another primer, I told you I was trying to use some of mine up. This is a difficult one for me, this was one of the first ever primers I used and I love it. It reduces the look of pores and creates a soft even base to apply the rest of your make up but I have found a lot better alternatives at a fraction of the price. Seriously, in my opinion it isn’t worth the money.

I’m not saying its a bad product but I would save your pennies. This used to be such a popular product in the beauty world because primers were not so available from other brands but now they are, it’s just not very competitive now there is no wow factor. I mean if someone brought this for me I wouldn’t be disappointed I just personally wouldn’t spend my money on it.

L’Oreal – Infallible 24H-Matte Foundation see here

This is one of my favourite foundations ever, it’s definitely my favourite from the drugstore. It’s a matte foundation which is a winner when it comes to my oily skin and just blends wonderfully. It’s such a buildable foundation and it’s so easy to apply. If I am ever unsure on what to apply I usually go for this one. It’s such a great all rounder. I actually like that it is in a squeezy tube because you can actually use all the product up. I have mentioned this in my Top 3: Drugstore Foundations which goes into further detail about this product. I have already repurchased this and using it near enough daily.

Sephora – Green Tea Face Mask see here

I have been really bad recently at not using face masks I just always forget, but I remembered I had this in my collection and I was having a bad time with my skin and I knew this would make it a lot better. This has to be my favourite sheet mask as I actually notice a difference when using this and it really helps my skin out. It aims to mattify and combat blemishes which I would totally agree with. It’s so annoying because I can’t get hold of this in the UK, it’s definitely on my list to buy a fair few of these when I go to New York later on in the year!

Primark – Oval Cosmetic Pads

Do I even need to explain any more how much I love these!? They are in near enough every single Empties post I write. They are the only cotton pads I will use and I will continue to use until they stop producing them. For 90p they are amazing and the best quality cotton pads I have used. Go to Primark and get yourself a pack, try them out and try and come back to tell me that they are rubbish because I know you won’t you’ll fall in love just like I have.

Kiehl’s – Ultra Facial Cream (Sample) see here

I have had this sample for quite some time and I have always wanted to try this because so many people love this product. I thought I was going to fall in love, but I just thought it was actually quite standard. For me there is nothing to write home about, its a moisturiser it’s nice but I have better ones in my collection that I enjoy a whole lot more. This is what I love about samples because you can try them out before you invest money especially when skincare is not cheap. I don’t think I will be buying this myself anytime soon.. I’m sorry Kiehl’s I really wanted to fall in love but I didn’t.

We have made it to the end, gold star to you if you managed to get to the end it’s a fairly lengthy read! Let me know if you have used any of these products before and what your thoughts are.

November Favourites

Hello my lovelies,

I feel like I write these posts far to often, I mean where is the time going!? This is for me simply the best time of the year. As soon as November 1st hits, the Christmas countdown well and truly begins for me. November all in all has been a good month for me, as you are reading this I am currently in Berlin enjoying all the Christmas markets and stuffing my face with amazing food! I started a new job in November, and I officially have been blogging for a whole year now – incredible! I have actually written a little thank you post, so if you haven’t seen it already go check it out here

Onto my beauty favourites, none of these are necessarily new products. I have been trying to not buy a lot this month in the spirit of Christmas and all I really need to be buying for others!

NYX – Cosmic Metals Shadow Palette see here

I was kindly gifted this by my best friend earlier on the year for my birthday and I instantly fell in love. I don’t know how I have missed putting this in favourites. I have used this palette almost every day this month! The colours are just beautiful and so easy to wear, they are crazy pigmented as well which is not what I was expecting when I first tried them out. I use these just on their own because the pigmentation is incredible enough however it’s mainly because I have been super busy this month so a swipe of one of these colours is great & I’m good to go! I can see myself using this for a long time to come!

MakeUp Obsession Highlighter Palette

This palette was actually made up for me online but the link for the website is here where you can create your own palettes – yes I know it’s amazing! Onto the products, I picked this up earlier this year and I had been wanting to try Make Up Obsession for the longest time. I loved the idea of creating your own palette. For whatever reason I chose to pick up a pre-created palette mainly because there was so much choice! I love every single one of these highlighters and I can see myself buying a lot more of these.

Autumn/Winter calls for highlight, I love highlight all year round but even more so in the colder months and this has been the perfect palette to play around with and create the perfect highlight on my skin. I would say my two favourites out of this are H103 Bronze and H109 Pop which are the two middle shades. Seriously if you haven’t tried this brand before go check them out. They are also stocked in Boots too!

LA Girl – Pro Conceal in Light Ivory see here

Ok, so I love this concealer. I go through phases of wearing this every single day to completely forgetting about it’s existence. This has been by far my most used and loved concealer of this month. Although I haven’t had a bad month with my skin, the dark circles are really real and this has been the perfect product to cover those bad boys up. I love how much product you get for your money – it just keeps on giving. I love that LA Girl is now so readily available within the UK because it is an amazing brand and more people need to see how wonderful it truly is.

Bourjois – Bronzing Powder in 52 see here

So hands down for me, this is the best drugstore bronzer on the market. Literally I LOVE it and this month it has been the only bronzer I have worn all month. I just flipping love it. I still don’t know how I haven’t hit pan yet because I use it all the time. For me, it is the perfect bronzing shade regardless of what time of year it is, it just always shines and creates the perfect bronzed look where I need it. I have actually mentioned this in my Top 3 bronzers post so if you want even more reasons to buy this then go ahead and give it a read!

Too Faced – Melted Matte in Queen B see here

I don’t think I have mentioned this on my blog before and I have no idea why. This product is AMAZING. The colour is stunning and nothing like I have ever worn before. A beautiful mauve colour which compliments my complexion beautifully. The formula is amazing, but what do you expect from a brand like Too Faced. I have worn this so much this month and I don’t think I will be loosing touch with it any time soon. It is my perfect Autumn/Winter lip shade. I never thought I would like a shade like this but you never know until you try!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Loreal – Hydra Genius see here

So I have been giving this a go this month, I didn’t really know what to expect. It is such a different product on the market especially when it comes to the drugstore. The formula is amazing and feels wonderful on the skin. I really think my skin has improved this month and I think it is down to this little baby. It is seriously a beautiful product and I think that you need to just try it out especially if you are on the fence. I will be writing a full review on this product so keep your eyes peeled!

Lush – Snow Fairy Shower Gel see here

Last but no means least one of my favourite products EVER. Do I even need to explain why I love this product? This time of the year is all about Snow Fairy, I mean what else would you use!? I am down to my final bottle of this so I need to get buying more of this. If you have never smelt or used this before, like seriously where have you been!? You need to go and smell this for yourselves. I promise you, you won’t regret it. This baby was the start of my Christmas countdown.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what your thoughts are of them. I’d love to know! PS where are all the Snow Fairy lovers!?

Hello my lovelies!

Soo I think you will need a good cup of tea and a snack to read this, I have an awful lot of empties to get through! This is the time of the year when I use a lot of products up as I don’t want to buy anything new because it’s all going on my Christmas list! I feel like I am using a lot of products ready to make space for the new. I cannot believe I have now done 10 Empties posts. These posts are great to look back on to see exactly what I use and how often.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Primark – Oval Cosmetic Pads

As we all know Primark still haven’t got round to the online shopping thing so I’m sorry I can’t link these but these are the BEST cotton pads I have ever used. I feel like it’s getting harder and harder to get hold of these little babies all my local Primark stores have few if any of these. Luckily my older sister is on hand when I’m running low and picks them up from her store. Seriously if you haven’t tried these – you need to. It’s a no brainer for 90p!

Jo Malone – English Pear & Freesia Scented Candle see here

So these are my favorite EVER candles, you just can’t get better. English Pear and Freesia is one of my favoruite scents from Jo Malone. I have the cologne in this scent and whenever I am invited to a Jo Malone store for a massage I always incorporate this scent. It’s fruity, but not too overpowering in the sweet department. It’s very crisp and works perfectly in my bedroom to create a cosy atmosphere especially when I am having a little pamper time.

It burns beautifully and seems to go on for aaaaages. I am rubbish at describing scents to do pop into your local store and smell it, it’s just divine. I will be keeping the jar so I can put bits and bobs in – recycling! I won’t be rushing out to buy this as I do have another Jo Malone candle on the go, but if anyone wanted to buy me one then of course I would happily accept.

Snow Fairy – Shower Gel see here

This is my FAVOURITE ever shower gel. I mean who doesn’t love this!? I hate that it is limited edition but thankfully I stock up around Christmas time and luckily I am gifted a few bottles so I can use it throughout the year. My oh my who doesn’t want pink glittery shower gel!? If you haven’t smelt this then head to your local Lush store! It is very sweet so if that isn’t for you then I’m sorry this probably isn’t for you. I love how the scent lingers on the skin and I can smell it hours after. The shower gel itself really is one of the best formulas I have ever tried. Basically, go out and buy it – but leave some for me because I still need to stock up!

Catwalk by TIGI – Oatmeal and Honey Nourishing Conditioner see here

So both my sisters swear by this range and I thought it was about time I tried it. I actually stole the bottle of my younger sister, whooops! But I just had to tried it and see what all the fuss was about. First off, it smells AMAZING seriously if you love the smell of honey you’ll love this. This range is perfect for me because it focuses on dry and damaged hair which is literally me. I am always up for putting extra moisture in my hair.

It really is amazing, I have only tried the conditioner but I seriously noticed the difference so I think I need to repurchase the duo so I can really feel the benefits. It is more expensive than drug store brands but in my opinion the couple of pounds extra really is worth it. I will be picking this up quite quickly I think!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Superdrug – Nourishing Nail Polish Remover see here

For me I don’t spend a lot on nail polish removers, all I want is for it to take off my nail polish so I can paint them with a different colour. I always go for a cheap and cheerful product and it depends on what shop I am in as to what I go for. It did the job and it lasted for a really long time. I probably will repurchase this again but currently I am using a Boots own nail polish remover – they all do the same job right?

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Sephora – Green Tea Face Mask see here

I picked this up on my first trip to Sephora and I was amazed by all the different face masks. As soon as I got home I wanted to try them all. This one appealed to me the most as it aims to mattify and control blemishes. With the oily skin that I have this sounded perfect. The whole sheet mask concept is still all new to me and now I wish I picked up more of this one because I really think it helped my skin. I definitely noticed a difference and for the few days after the mask I honestly thought the amount of oil produced on my skin decreased. It is one of the first times I genuinely notice a difference in my skin after a mask.

I need to get my hands on more of these. If anyone wants to pick me a few up on their trip then I would more than happily accept them! They are amazing if you have oily sin like me you need to go out and get your hands on some! Game Changer!

Soap & Glory – The Greatest Scrub of All see here

For me, this isn’t the greatest face scrub of all. Very bold title but it really wasn’t anything life changing. I mean it’s a good scrub but it isn’t the best I have used. I don’t feel like the beads inside really did much as they were so small. For sensitive skin this would be great but for me I just felt like I needed them to be a bit bigger to do much. I mean it left my skin feeling smooth but apart from that it didn’t do much else. I would say I think this has helped to combat my spots that I have had recently. Would I buy this again? Maybe if Soap & Glory were doing 3 for 2 but I wouldn’t go to Boots to specifically buy this. Just a little disappointing.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Sleek – Brow Kit in Light see here

I really enjoy this product, an awful lot. I do only use the wax side never the powder for me the powder is difficult to work with but that’s my personal preference. For a drug store brow product I would say this is really up there with some of the best. It’s pigmented, easy to use and the perfect colour for me. I have actually already brought another one of these because I enjoy it that much. If you don’t want to pay Benefit prices for their brow kit I would seriously consider this one!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Collection – Primed & Ready see here

Another firm favoruite in my make up collection. I have loved this for a long time. It is the perfect primer to put on in a hurry and know that your base make up won’t end up all down your face. It’s really the perfect base and especially for the price is amazing. I would say that this is a silicone based primer and I know this isn’t for everyone but if you want to try it I don’t think you will be disappointed.

This is one of those products when you start to run low you buy another so you are never without it. It’s perfect for me because of my oily complexion as it is aimed at mattifying your complexion. If you suffer like me this may be a good one to try!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Urban Decay – Eyeshadow Primer Potion see here

I cannot apply eyeshadow without applying a bit of this. I actually couldn’t imagine not applying a primer to my eyelids. It’s a vital part of my routine and this wins every time. I have tried a few in my time and none have been as good as this. It creates an even base for your eye shadow and enhances the colour. My eye shadow stays on a lot longer when using this – why wouldn’t you use one!?

Although this is a small tube it has lasted me AGES because you need the tiniest amount. I just can’t imagine my life without it. I already have another one going but I really don’t like the new packaging – I don’t need a doe foot applicator to apply primer my finger works perfectly thank you! Bring back the original packaging please!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Clinique – Moisture Surge see here

This is a mini which I received as a gift with purchase. I had wanted to try this for the longest time so I was very happy when I got my hands on it. This really has done complete wonders to my skin. It is AMAZING. I love it so so much and I was absolutely gutted when it ran out. It has a gel consistency and it just sinks into your skin. My skin definitely felt the benefits of using this.

I used this in the morning daily and it instantly just sunk into my skin and even on no make up days my skin looked so much better. I am really wanting to get my hands on the full size version but I have so many moisturisers to use up I feel like this is going to have to wait. I just want to carry on using it, this product is never going to be forgotten!

That’s all folks! Give yourself a gold star if you made it to the end I know it was quite a long post! Let me know if you have tried any of the products I have mentioned and what you thought of them.

Empties #6

Hello my lovelies,

I am back again with an empties post, I seriously did not realise how frequently I would be writing these posts. It’s actually interesting for me how quickly I go through things. I love writing these because as soon as I have I can throw all the products away and be free of empty products for a little while!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Lush: Prince Charming Shower Cream

I know you can’t get hold of this any more because it was limited edition for their Valentines collection but damn it smells good. It’s a fruity sweet scent but very different to anything I have tried before. It has pomegranate oil in which is scent I don’t normally go for but wow it’s good. I love Lush as a brand, especially for their shower creams they are a little pricey but they are worth every penny. This one is also bright pink and makes your water actually go pink – who doesn’t want this!? I will be sure to keep my eyes open when Valentines comes round again next year and pick this up!

Primark: Oval Cosmetic Pads

I can’t link this product either as Primark still don’t have a proper website, however they are getting there. These oval pads are in near enough every single empties post that I do, I blooming love them and I don’t think that I will ever change to anything different you seriously can’t go wrong for 90p.

Benefit: Precisely, My Brow Pencil in shade 4 see here

This is another product that makes an appearance quite often I believe this is the second one I have gone through and I am now onto my 3rd pencil. Yes, I love it. It is the perfect brow pencil for me and I only use this on the front of my brows to give a more natural effect you can really create hairs which do not look fake – it’s fab! If you are on the hunt for a new brown pencil I would urge you to go check Benefit out.

Makeup Revolution – Face Precision Oval Brush see here

This is not an empty as such but it has broke, and not I was not being clumsy. When I brought this back in January I was beyond excited to try it. I was amazed at how good it was, truly its a game changer when it comes to applying foundation and then very recently while I was applying my foundation with it, it snapped. My heart broke and actually I don’t know what to do – do I pay for another £9.99 for another one for that to brake in a couple of months like this one. This is the first brush that I have had that has actually snapped and I am very disappointed. 😦

Tea Tree Skincare: Exfoliating Cream Wash see here

I like cheap and cheerful products and this is a range I have dabbled in ever since I can remember some of the products are a little hit and miss but what do you expect for the price. This product I hated when I first tried it, the smell of tea tree was far too overwhelming and actually stung my face. I did persevere and actually this is one of the only things I have in my collection which helps when I have bad skin. It is a harsher exfoliator than other ones out there but it does do the job. My feels a lot cleaner and softer and combats spots. I would definitely buy this again, but it’s not a product that I feel I have to have in my collection.

Soap and Glory: Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk see here

I have loved every last drop I could get out of this bottle, it’s amazing. It was the first item I brought from the Soap and Glory range and boy am I impressed. I have fallen so in love with this product that I have already brought another to replace it. It is a staple for me in my skincare now and the price you pay is actually pretty good value. If you have never tried the Soap and Glory skincare range I would highly recommend checking it out, they have something for everyone.

Dove: Purely Pampering Nourishing Body Wash see here

This is a product that I received at Christmas, probably a few years ago and I have finally used it up! I used this mainly for shaving my legs and it was actually pretty good. It really helped when shaving because it contains shea butter so is perfect for ensuring that your skin is softer and smoother and I do notice the difference if I haven’t used this. For me it isn’t something I would repurchase just because I have a lot of similar products already in my collection but if you are on the hunt for a nourishing body wash then look no further than this product.

Garnier: Skin Active Micellar Water see here

Again another cult product for my skincare, I simply will not use another micellar water. I have found my one true love and I don’t need to look anywhere else. I love that they have brought bigger bottles of this out now which is what I am using currently so hopefully you won’t see this as frequently anymore in my empties! Seriously, Garnier you are my saviors this product is something I literally cannot live without!

April Favourites

Hello my lovelies,

It’s that time again where it’s the end of another month. April has been an incredible month for me, I am so proud of what I have achieved this year. I have pushed boundaries and did things I didn’t think I would able to do for a long time. As I am posting this I am currently on my travels back to the UK from Portugal, a week full of my favourite people, lots of sun and alcohol is exactly what I needed!

In the month of April there have been some products that I have fallen head over heels in love with, some new and some oldie but goodies. I am still on my spending ban-ish. I caved in April and brought a Jo Malone fragrance – sorry, not sorry! Since this I haven’t brought anything else – I am going well.

Beautiful Brows – Eyebrow Powder in Dark Brown see here

I have had this product for a good couple of years. I came across the brand when I went to IMATS London a few years ago a decided to give it a try. It’s pretty impressive and I forgot why I stopped using it. It is highly pigmented creates a beautiful brow. It’s waterproof near enough and never smudges. I do always set my brows but with this product you don’t even need to do that.

You get an awful lot of product in the pan, I have hit pan as you can see, but I still have a lot more product to use up before I will have to repurchase. I much prefer a powder product for my brows as you are able to create a more natural brow but is definitely buildable if you are wanting a bolder look.

Benefit – Coralista Box Blush see here

For some reason, when I was sorting out of my makeup this was pushed to the back of my draw. For spring I have put it right to the front because it is a beautiful coral colour that gives a little flush to the cheeks. For me, as I am getting older I am shying away from the bright pink shades and looking for more brown/orange toned blushes.

This is the perfect blush for me, it has a sparkle and just screams spring/summer. I love the packaging of the box as well, Benefit always tick the box for me with packaging. Also, it smells blooming divine! It smells to me of palma violets – I know this isn’t to everyone’s taste but I am addicted!

BECCA – Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop see here

I think this is THE best highlighter I have ever come into contact with. Wow, it’s absolutely beautiful. As the name suggests it is a champagne colour with a serious shimmer. This highlighter is not for the faint hearted, for me this is a all or nothing highlighter there is no in-between. It is seriously pigmented, a little does go a long way. It is a pricey product but actually because you don’t use a lot of it, it will keep you going for a long time.

I can’t stop looking at it because I am captivated by it’s beauty. If you like highlighters then seriously this needs to be top of your list to purchase next. In the range BECCA also offer other shades which I am seriously wanting to venture into because I love this one so much. I going to look so damn good this spring/summer wearing this highlighter!

NYX – Liquid Lingerie Lipstick in 10, Teddy see here

I love liquid lipsticks and for me NYX are one of the best brands out there at the moment for liquid lipsticks. This is from one of their newest launches which are all nude/brown toned lipsticks which are what I have been loving recently. I love a brown lip, it’s been going around for a while now but I seriously cannot get enough. For me, this shade is what I call a true brown shade and I love wearing it.

It’s so comfortable on the lips and stays all day and doesn’t seem to come off horribly. It is a bit of a bugger to get off at night but I suppose that shows the longevity of the formula. It never feels drying to me either which is another massive bonus. If you are on the hunt for a brown lipstick I highly recommend you pop down to your local Boots and check the range out.

Lush – Prince Charming Shower Cream

I am sorry guys but this is limited edition and I don’t believe you can hold of this anymore as it was part of the valentines collection. I am so glad I picked this up because it smells amazing. I think I have come to the conclusion that for me nothing beats Lush when it comes to shower products. My ultimate favourite will always be Snow Fairy but again that is limited edition, this does come a close second though.

It is a very thick shower cream that comes out a bright pink colour – what more could you want!? The smell is incredible, very fruity which is normally what I go for it contains pomegranate juice and grapefruit oil – what a match made in heaven! The smell of the shower cream lingers in the bathroom for hours which I love as well as on your body. They feel so luxurious and I cannot stop using them, I wish I stocked up on this because after this bottle I’m all out..

Here is hoping that they bring it out again next year!

Estee Lauder – Double Wear Concealer in 2C Light Medium (cool) see here

So everyone raves about the Double Wear foundation, which I also love – a lot. I don’t however see much about the concealer that goes with this. As I loved the foundation so much I thought it was about time to pick up the matching concealer and my oh my it didn’t disappoint. It covers everything, dark circles, redness and spots! I never thought anything would rival my collection lasting perfection but I think this has beaten it..

I have had awful skin this month with so many spots and this concealer has saved me of looking like a dot to dot picture when I am out and about. I love it. I would say that I wouldn’t recommend wearing the double wear foundation and concealer together as it  would be super heavy – but I know that for some of you this is a winning combination I just feel like it is too much for my skin.  I would go check this out though if you enjoy the double wear foundation, there is a lot more to the range!
