Current Beauty Favourites

Hello my lovelies,

So normally, I would do this monthly but as I had a little break I thought it would be worth rounding up my current favourites over the last few months and then I can get back into monthly favourites. So much has gone on in the past few months and how in the world are we now in October!? The months are going quicker and quicker  – the countdown to Christmas is well and truly on for me!

Estee Lauder – Bronze Goddess Powder in 03 Medium Deep see here

I brought this for myself over the summer, I had wanted this for a long time and I thought why the hell not treat myself! It’s pretty pricey but it’s such a lovely bronzer. It has such a big pan so you can swish your brush around like no mans business. It’s near enough matte which I much prefer, there are a few specs of glitters that catch my eye but nothing major I promise. I’m still using it even in the colder months I just love it. It’s the perfect colour for me – this I think is the nicest bronzer I have ever used and in my opinion well worth the investment!

Clinique – Take The Day Off Balm see here

I have had this collection for a little while and I wanted to spruce my cleansing routine up so I decided a balm was the way to go. This stuff is magical, it really does take everything off my face and I never feel like I have to double cleanse which is a winner in my book! What gives this cleanser a gold star is that it’s a miracle worker at getting the most toughest mascara off my lashes. There is nothing that this stuff can’t handle! I didn’t think I would love a balm as much as I do this once but I’m coming to the end of this and thinking I really need to pick another one of these up.. I’m converted!

Benefit – Precisely My Brow Pencil in Shade 4 see here

So if you have read my last post here or have read my blog for a while then you know I adore this product. For a long time I used this mainly for filling in the front of my brows only which worked wonders. However I wasn’t happy with the look of the rest of my brows so I decided to to use this baby all over and my oh my it’s a game changer. My eyebrows look so much better and I take a lot less time in the mornings getting ready. I just find it so easy to use and the pigmentation is amazing. Light hands is the way forward but really I struggle to go wrong with this pencil! Plus I do love this snazzy packaging people may think it’s a little OTT but for me it’s a winner.

MAC – Prep & Prime Fix+ see here

I don’t know how this has only come into my life this year. I picked this up at IMATS  and even then I was sceptical as to whether I would use it. I don’t really use setting sprays but I thought because so many people love this that I would give it a go. I just can’t stop using it. I spritz this every time I apply make up. It makes my face look a little less flat and matte but not so much that I look like an oily mess. I really feel like my make up lasts so much longer because of this. I am now sold with this and I am sure this will now be a staple item in my make up collection!

Rimmel – Lasting Finish Foundation in 200 Soft Beige see here

This is my new favourite drug store foundation. I had this in my collection for a while and rarely used it – not sure why. I then gave it a good go and used it for a couple of days and I just fell in love. Annoyingly when I fell in love with it, it was then empty and I had no idea so I had to rush out and buy another. I actually mentioned this little baby in my recent Empties Post. I just find that this is so easy to apply and I never have any issues with applications or the longevity of this. This is a little different for me as I am very much a matte foundation girl and this is more on the dewy finish. I have made it work for me though and I just powder, I just love the finish it gives. Seriously if you haven’t tried this foundation out you need to give it a go!

Too Faced – Melted Matte Lipstick in Queen B see here

I’m not really a pink lipped sort of girl and when I brought this last year I was like come on Alice lets be brave and try something new. It’s a beautiful pink/mauve shade and is something so different to anything I own. I have gone through phases or wearing this and at the moment I am obsessed and have been for a good solid couple of months now this is pretty much all I wear. It’s so comfortable on the lips and lasts a fairly long time, I keep meaning to pick up more colours of this as I really enjoy the formula. I also am in love with the name. Obviously I feel like a queen b whilst wearing this!

Huda Beauty – Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette see here

I really am obsessed with the palette. No doubt about it. It’s pretty much the only eye shadow I have been wearing for about 3 months now and it still looks like I haven’t really made a dent in the colours. Hands down this is well worth the investment because the pigmentation and the formula of these are incredible. I constantly wear these shades and although they look pretty crazy colours they are actually so wearable. I need to give my other palettes a bit of a chance but I can’t seem to put this one down. I have written a full review of this here if you would like a little bit more info.

Chanel – Natural Finished Pressed Powder in Translucent see here

So I’m not normally one to use expensive powders as personally I don’t think there is any need to. However I was gifted this a little while ago by my boyfriend and to be honest I was too scared to use it. Recently I was like, come on it needs to be used no matter what the price tag was. I’m sure I’m not the only one that uses more expensive make up for special occasions! I’m so glad I got using this because my oh my it’s pretty special. It’s so light on the face and never feels cakey. It sets my make up in place and I can’t tell you how good my skin looks. Effortlessly as well. I honestly think when I use this up I may have to repurchase another one. Sorry Rimmel I think I have found a new powder!

Let me know what your favourite products are at the moment and whether you have tried any of the products I have mentioned!

Sephora Haul

Hello lovelies,

It’s been a while since my last blog post & I do apologise, it’s been a very hectic couple of months! I did pop over to the magical city of New York and obviously I couldn’t not spend hours on end in Sephora without showing you guys. I cannot tell you how much a Sephora in the UK would make a difference to my life. The experience is so much better than a drug or department store let me tell you! I was restrained-ish, but I just wanted to buy EVERYTHING, seriously it’s all so inviting. The team of Sephora know how to lay out a shop!

Sephora – Bronzing Face Powder in Medium, 3

I’m sorry I can’t seem to find a link to it on the Sephora website but I promise you it’s about.  I feel like Sephora own products are not talked about an awful lot on social media and maybe there is a reason for that but I want to try it for myself and I haven’t treated myself to a bronzer in a while so I thought why the hell not! It’s a matte finish which I much prefer, to be honest it doesn’t look wowing but the proof is in the finish! I’m sure I’ll let you know what I think and whether I have found a hidden gem.

Tarte – Creaseless Concealer in 20N Light see here

Before I went into Sephora, I had no idea whether to get Tarte’s Shape Tape or Creaseless Concealer. In the end I went for the creaseless as I have the shape tape foundation and don’t like it although everyone loves the concealer I just am a little scarred from the foundation. I love the packaging on this and the variance of colours was incredible. I’m so glad I waited to swatch these in person rather than risk it online as I found my perfect shade. I cannot wait to get using this!

Tarte – Gifted Mascara see here

This is a repurchase for me, I have one of these babies already which I brought on a bit of a whim. I fell in love with the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara and wanted to see what else Tarte could offer. This, for me is now my all time favourite mascara. It is amazing, it lengthens as well as able to create the right amount of volume. There is no panda eyes and no flakiness. To remove it is a dream unlike so mascaras I own and I just feel that I can always rely on this baby. Seriously Tarte mascaras are amazing and if you have never tired them to try them I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Tarte – Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara see here

Whilst I’m talking about Tarte mascaras, yes I picked up another one. Again I love this mascara and I just thought well it’s slightly cheaper than what I can buy it for online – why the hell not! This is the first Tarte mascara I brought and I have been converted ever since. So much so I brought another, limited edition may I add and I was so excited that I gave it to a friend because she just had to try it – obviously she fell in love just like me. They are such reliable mascaras and I love all the limited edition packaging I do it just makes me want to buy them all!

Huda Beauty – Warm Brown Obsessions Palette see here

I have been wanting one of these little babies ever since they came out but I couldn’t make a decision of what one I wanted. I’m so glad that I was able to see them in real life as pictures can be deceiving sometimes! I chose warm brown in the end as I thought it would be the most wearable for me.  I have high hopes for this as I love the dessert dusk palette which I have reviewed here. The palette itself is a lot smaller in real life let me tell you! I absolutely love the shades though and I cannot wait to report back on how I get on.

Anastasia Beverley Hills – Brow Wiz in Warm Brown see here

Now, I know to a lot of people this will be shocking but I have never tried this product before. I have recommended it to people as I know so many people love it but I have never brought it myself until now. I have been a Benefit eyebrow girl for the longest time and I actually went into Sephora to pick up a new Precisely, my brow pencil but they didn’t have my shade. I’d run out so I needed to pick up something so I decided that the time was now upon me to try it. I will be doing a comparison between the two as I have actually brought the Benefit pencil since I have been back so keep your eyes peeled!

Sephora Lip Cream

This looks a hell of a lot darker than it is in person. For me this is the perfect brown nude. I have been on the hunt for something like this for the longest time as I am lucky enough to be a bridesmaid for two upcoming weddings and I needed a nude lipstick that would work with the dresses. I am hoping this could be the one. I have a few from the range and I think that they are the best affordable liquid lipsticks around, no questions. They are so comfortable and long wearing and just look amazing on the lips. The shade range is pretty impressive so I am glad that I went in with a rough colour in mind rather than be overwhelmed with the colours!

Urban Decay – Born to Run Eyeshadow Palette see here

I didn’t think I would pick this baby up but when I saw it in Sephora I just couldn’t put it down. I love Urban Decay & their eye shadows and I haven’t brought a palette from them in a long time and I thought now was the time. I love all the different colours in the palette and I really hope I am one day confident enough to try them. The packaging is gorgeous I feel like Urban Decay have really upped their game with this release. I cannot wait to get experimenting!

Benefit – Bad Gal Bang Mascara see here

Whilst I was in Sephora I signed up to their rewards scheme as I had spent so much money I was able to pick up this little baby for free. I have wanted to try this for a while but not fork out the price tag to be left with a mascara I didn’t like. It has been widely reviewed and to be honest it’s been very mixed. When it comes to mascara I feel like everyone forgets that everyone’s lashes are different and people prefer different wands/texture etc. With that being said I love that you can now buy these mini’s so if you don’t like it you haven’t spent as much. In the past, for me Benefit mascaras haven’t wowed me – but who knows this may change things.

Fenty Beauty – Pro Filter Primer in Soft Matte see here

Fenty Beauty.. I’m not sure if I ever got excited for this brand being launched. I’m not sure why I guess I am wary of celebrities bringing out things and thinking they are experts. I know the foundation has had very good reviews but I wasn’t sold enough to pick my shade up. However, again I had enough points and I decided to try out the primer. For me, primers are important and I love trying new ones out. The packaging really is lovely and I’m actually pretty excited to try this baby out. I’m sure I’ll let you know my thoughts when I start trying it out.

Bite – Lip Gift Set from Sephora

I can’t find this anywhere online, but I think this is because it’s a birthday gift. Although my birthday was in July and I went to New York in September they were able to give me my birthday gift – AMAZING. I have heard so much about BITE that I thought this was a great chance to see the different lip products they have to offer. You receive a: agave lip balm, lip crayon in Glace and a lipstick in Chai. I love the colours, normally for me the colours are never my bag with a freebie but I am impressed and can’t wait to try them out. Let’s see what these babies have to offer!

That’s all folks! I did pick up more items but they are for gifts for other people so I can’t share these with you. I am so happy with my purchases and although you can pick most of these products up in the UK they are only available online. I much prefer getting to feel a product and see the colour through my own eyes as pictures are not always accurate. Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what your thoughts are on them!

May Favourites

Hello my lovelies,

Another month has gone so quick, seriously how are we nearly half way through the year already? May has been such a busy month for me with my boyfriend dislocating his shoulder and having an operation on top of that so I was full time acting as his nurse! The hot weather was amazing though – me and my puppy was having such a great time in the paddling pool I brought. I also attended IMATS with my sister and my best friend which as always was amazing, I spent way to much money but it only comes around once a year. Do keep your eye out for an upcoming IMATS Haul!

This month because I have been so busy, I have ended up sticking to the same things but these little babies I have been using have really shone out. It is all makeup based this month so if you are a skincare lover this one may not be for you.

Maybelline – Fit Me Foundation in 110 Porcelain see here

I actually picked this up pretty recently which you may have seen in my recent Boots & TK Maxx Haul I was in desperate need of falling in love with a drug store foundation and I may have just found it. It applies like a dream and although looking at the colour it looks pretty pale for me, it actually colour matches really well. I don’t want to go into too much detail as I will be doing a full review on this pretty soon. All I would say is, if you have oily prone skin or are looking for a matte foundation then this may be worth trying out.

Charlotte Tilbury – Hollywood Lips in Show Girl see here

Anyone that knows me, knows that I adore liquid lipstick I am a complete sucker for it. To be honest I thought I had lost this one, whoops! I found it in my handbag at the start of this month and because I couldn’t find it for so long I knew I had to get wearing it. Although it’s not really a spring colour, I love it. It’s a berry colour but not too deep so completely wearable on a daily basis. It’s so comfortable on the lips and to be honest I am a sucker for anything Charlotte Tilbury. Would I pay £24 for another one.. probably not unless I came into some money and I wanted to treat myself. If you have the money for one then I would strongly recommend trying it out the shade range is beautiful!

Huda Beauty – Desert Dusk Palette see here

I have very recently written a full review on my thoughts of this palette here but a little side note before you read it.. I blooming love it. If you have read my review then you will know that I very nearly just gave this away because it wasn’t being used. Thank god I kept it because I can’t stop using it. I have a look that I create on a daily basis and I just love the look and nothing else seems to come close to it. From the picture it looks like I have barely used this but trust me I have used this pretty much every day this month. In my eyes it is well worth the investment, if you are on the fence about this my advice is to buy it. You won’t regret it I promise.

Maybelline – Instant Age Rewind Concealer in Light see here

Another recent-ish addition to my collection and as you can see I have used this quite a bit. This however I picked up from Superdrug and to be honest it is perfect for my under eye area. Although I don’t have the brightening one, I don’t think I need it. This does the job and is the perfect colour for me. My only annoyance and I am sure I am not the only one on this is the applicator and how messy it gets – seriously! I also think it’s a little overpriced for what it is especially for the drugstore but it is a great product and I know it is so well loved and now I’m hooked too!

Sephora Lip Cream in Marvellous Move see here

This along with my Charlotte Tilbury lipstick is the only thing that has been on my lips this month. I absolutely adore the formula of this and the colour. I mean this is seriously one of the best liquid lipsticks I have ever come across. My favourite at present is the Huda Beauty Liquid Lipsticks but if they aren’t in your budget then this comes a very close second for me. I can’t wait to go to New York in September mainly so I can go into Sephora and buy more of these shades. I mean the shade range is incredible I didn’t realise they had so many and they are constantly adding new shades to the range. This is my go to spring lip colour – I LOVE IT!

Tarte – Maneater Mascara see here

Last but by no means least, this mascara. I brought this last month as I picked a gift up for my sister as it was here birthday and I thought it would be rude not to treat myself. I was a little sceptical about trying this mascara as I head over heels fell in love with Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara and didn’t think I would love anything else. But oh boy was I proved wrong. I don’t think it is better than Lights, Camera, Lashes as they do different things, I love them equally. The only thing I need to get used to is how big the brush/applicator is – it’s pretty overwhelming when you first try to apply the mascara! This gives amazing volume and I am left with no flaky bits on the face throughout the day. I mean I knew everyone loved the Tarte mascaras but didn’t understand why – but now I do and I am completely obsessed, I am sure I will own all of them at some point..

& just like that my May Favourites are done. Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what your thoughts are on them.

Review: Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette

Hello my lovelies,

I feel like I haven’t written a review in the longest time, so I thought why not review a beautiful looking eyeshadow palette. My problem in the past year is that I have been obsessed with the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette that nothing has really come close. I even stopped buying eyeshadow palettes for a while, I know shock horror! I picked up this little beauty when I was in Berlin in November and for whatever reason only really started using it recently so I thought it was about time I reviewed it.

This has been a very hyped up product in the beauty world, I instantly fell in love with the colours and to be honest with seeing it all over social media I got sucked in and decided to buy it. I love Huda Beauty’s liquid lipsticks, they are sensational so I thought their eye shadows should be pretty amazing. You get 18 shades in this palette which actually is pretty good, a lot of high end palettes don’t provide this amount. The main tones in this palette are orange/red tones with some beautiful glitter shades and the odd crazy colour like the purple.

For whatever reason although it looks beautiful, I never reached for it when I first brought it. Even though I was wearing these sorts of shades I just never picked it up. I then had a massive clear out a couple of months ago and actually I debated just selling this because something so beautiful shouldn’t just be collecting dust. However, I thought I need to give this a proper go – it’s Huda Beauty. So I decided to start using it and creating looks and I have been really impressed. The shades are really pigmented, not in your face pigmented but it doesn’t take 10 minutes to apply one colour to your lids.

I have been loving the orange tones now for some while and these are just beautiful and actually nothing like I have in my collection. I have even gone all out and tried out the pink glitter in here when is called Angelic. Ok I admit it’s pink with a lot of gold in it, but it’s a start right!? I am absolutely obsessed. All the colours are really easy to work with and blend so lovely together.

My favourite shades in the palette from Left to Right of the above picture: Musk, Amber, Blazing, Angelic, Blood Moon & Retrograde.

I have been creating a look with these shades which I am absolutely in love with. Day or night I rock it, seriously I’m just an eyeshadow lover. What I also love about these is there there are no fall out even with glitter shadows which I think is very rare to find. Huda Beauty have done incredibly well to find this amazing formula and for it to work with the different finishes are really impressive.

I absolutely adore this palette and I am shocked and disappointed in myself that I nearly let this little baby go away. Nothing this pretty should ever be sat in a collection collecting dust especially when the shades inside are blooming amazing. I mean there are probably two shades in this palette that I wouldn’t use, well not at the moment any way. These are the purple shades, but this is going waaay out of my comfort zone. 18 months ago I was a complete nude eye shadow girl and was all about the golden look. To go to orange/red tones and to add other colours like pink is a big step for me.

I’m hoping one day I’ll find the courage to rock the purple shades though. I just know I am going to get so much use out of the palette now and to be honest for the past month or so it’s the only palette I have been using because I am so obsessed with the looks I’m creating with it. I’m no eye shadow artist but slowly I’m creating looks that I love and that’s all that matters right?

I can’t tell you how happy I am to have this in my collection and I am in awe of Huda Beauty for creating this beautiful palette. I now have my eyes on their other palettes and I’m sure it won’t take me long to make a cheeky purchase on Cult Beauty. This is seriously a brand that rivals the likes of ABH. If you have never tried anything from Huda Beauty as a whole then I strongly recommend eye shadows and liquid lipsticks.

If you want to pick this up yourself see here – it is the most expensive eye shadow I have ever brought but it does work out to around £3.11 per colour which actually is pretty impressive when you think about it.

Let me know your thoughts on whether you have tried this palette before and also recommendations of what one I should try out next.

March/ April Favourites

Hello my lovelies,

So I don’t like missing these posts and unfortunately I had to miss out my March favourites due to illness. My blog pretty much has gone on hold for around a month, I was gutted and I still am to be honest. I adore my blog and not being able to do something you love is pretty heart breaking. I have had an awful start to the year and this time it was down to flu. Yes the actual flu, hospital the lot. Yay me. It has been awful and I am still recovering. It has been a long road and although I am still undergoing tests etc. I am hoping I am on the mend! So I thought I would combine March and April although it’s mainly been April I have been enjoying these products.

The Balm – Frat Boy Blush see here

You may have seen this before on my blog, it is a complete favourite for me especially in the Spring/Summer months. It has just the right amount of pigment and gives me the perfect pink tone on my cheeks which looks so natural. I have been wearing this non-stop when I have worn makeup recently it’s just perfect. It is a little pricey and actually I forgot how much it was but for me it’s well worth the investment. I have included this in my Top 3 – Blushers post so if you want to know more about it then click onto the link.

BECCA – Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal see here

I just want to add this is a travel size version that I have don’t worry if your thinking wow that’s small. I absolutely adore this highlighter for me it’s the perfect golden highlighter and the glow you get from this is crazy. The pigmentation is really quite impressive and to be honest I just want all the BECCA shimmering skin perfectors they are well worth the money if you are into your highlighters. I honestly think this is my all time favourite highlighter I just adore it.

Charlotte Tilbury – Hollywood Flawless Filter see here

This is a pretty new edition to my collection and if I am honest when I first got it I was tempted to send it back. I just wasn’t sure if I would get the use. Now I did a little bit of research on how people use it etc. and actually I have found a slightly different way to apply this. On the website it advises that you can wear this as a primer, highlighter or mix it in with your foundation. Now, I have oily skin so to have a really glowy primer or foundation would look awful and I’m really not a fan on liquid highlighter.

So, I prime my skin with a different primer, usually oil control and then I pop this on to the points of my face where I would usually highlight. I then do the rest of my face and it makes the world of difference. I love highlighter so to already have that glow come through is amazing. It looks absolutely beautiful on the skin. It’s a really lovely product and I use it so often especially as in the UK we are finally getting some spring weather. This is also perfect for those little/no make up days when you just need a little pick me up so you don’t look awful – massive savior!

Benefit – Ka-Brow in Number 4 see here

I LOVE this eyebrow product, but I go through phases of wearing this everyday to not at all. At the moment it’s the only thing I am using on my brows, I just forget how damn good Benefit are for brow products. I don’t use the brush that it comes with, I prefer a longer brush handle but the brush itself is pretty impressive. I could sit and rave about this product forever but I won’t – if you want to find out more why I love this product see this post here to understand why it makes it to my top 3 all time favourite brow products.

Estee Lauder – Double Wear Stay in Place Foundation see here

So for me, I have had this in my collection for a while. Before you say anything I am a genius who put a pump on it because I’m not about that pouring life! I was happy when I brought it but I just thought I can’t wear this every day, it’s just too heavy. I didn’t want to give it up because it is great for those events or nights out where you need a full coverage foundation that will last for ages. Recently I was sorting through my make up and deciding whether to throw this out and I thought, there must be a way I can make this work.

Hey presto I have found it! I always applied this with a brush and I tried this with a beauty blender and it was life changer. I have head over heels fallen in love with this foundation. It is the perfect amount of coverage and lasts all day. It’s amazing at oil control, to be honest it’s everything I wanted it to be in the first place. My love for this foundation is well and truly in full swing, thank god for beauty blenders!

Laura Mercier – Foundation Primer see here

Now, I think most people in the beauty world have heard about this primer. This what really started the whole primer thing for me and now I can’t apply foundation without having a primer on underneath. I have a lot to thank this primer for to be honest, however with the whole primer craze getting bigger and bigger every year like my collection I began to forget about this. This month again after my sort out I thought do you know what I need to use this again. It’s a good job I did because I fell in love with it all over again. It’s just amazing and if you haven’t tried it before then you totally need to!

Huda Beauty – Liquid Matte Lipstick in Trendsetter see here

If you have read my Huda Beauty Liquid Matte review then you know I love these, see here if you haven’t. They are one of THE best brands for liquid lipsticks, the formula is just amazing. This colour Trendsetter has been pretty much the only thing that has been on my lips recently. I just adore the colour it’s the perfect brown tone that isn’t crazy dark. This is only the mini version as I received this in a set but my oh my when this runs out I will be buying the full size. If your into your liquid lipsticks then this little baby is for you!

Let me know if you have tried any of these products & what your thoughts are on them!

Black Friday Haul

Hello my lovelies,

So Black Friday I’m never normally taken by, I normally finish my Christmas shopping by this point and Black Friday is normally where I’m sucked into buying something for someone else. However, not this year mainly what I brought was for me – whoops! I went a little mad but I’m so excited to try everything I have brought. I have decided these are my Christmas gifts to myself – that’s totally ok right?

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Beauty Bay

We will start here because this is what sucked me in to the Black Friday deals. Seriously the queue to get on the website was insane, please don’t tell me I was the only one that waited over 12 hours to get on the site!? I just wanted to get my hands on some Morphe Products really and that is exactly what I did!

Morphe – 9BZ Palette see here

I was on the hunt for a new contouring/bronzing powder and when I saw this I was like yes this is perfect. As soon as I opened it I fell in love with the colours. I haven’t heard much about this palette if I’m honest but for the price I paid I’m happy to give it a go, I shall report back!

Morphe – 35F Palette see here

I have wanted this palette for AGES, I’m not even joking it has been on countless wishlists that I have posted and whenever I try and buy it, it’s always out of stock! When I saw that it was in stock AND on sale I literally screamed with excitement. I cannot wait to get using this, the colours all look so pretty. I have high hopes with this palette as everyone and their blooming cat seems to own Morphe eye shadows it’s now finally my turn to enjoy.

Mario Badescu – Acne Facial Cleanser see here

So I have heard about this brand but for whatever reason never purchased anything. Although I don’t suffer with really bad acne, I can get break outs and I love to reach for products that are going to combat them and get rid of them as soon as possible. Let’s see what this does – I shall of course be reviewing this so keep your eyes peeled!

Tarte

So again, another brand I have never tried before. The reason is pretty simple for this one though is that it is a bit of a bugger to get hold of in the UK. When they had 25% off and free shipping to the UK I was well a truly sold and I knew it was time to buy a few things.

Tarte – Lights Camera Lashes Mascara see here

This mascara I have wanted for a long time, I could never justify the price or just buying this with the shipping I just admired from afar. Of course this was the first thing I put in my basket and as their was limited edition packaging I was like YES PLEASE! Urgh it looks so beautiful. I have high hopes for this little baby so lets hope it doesn’t disappoint.

Tarte – Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette see here

This palette is blooming beautiful, inside & out. Seriously do I need to explain any more? The colours are pretty and I new I wanted to try out a palette from Tarte and this one stole my heart. I have high hopes for this little baby, lets hope it doesn’t let me down.

Sephora

Okay, so this isn’t a Black Friday shopping trip I actually have just come back from Berlin and before I went I tried to see if their was a Sephora there, unfortunately the website said no and I was a little sad. While we were out there we went into a department store and what did I see – a great big Sephora counter. Yes I screamed, yes I have no shame.

Sephora – Supreme Cleansing Oil see here

I actually brought this on my last trip to Sephora in Paris and I fell completely in love see here so much so I have been using is sparingly because I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to repurchase anytime soon. Well, of course I brought a new bottle and now I can use it again. This stuff is amazing, if you are ever in Sephora go pick it up it’s amazing trust me.

Sephora – Green Tea Face Mask see here

Another favourite from my last haul that I knew I wanted to pick up again. This is perfect for troubled oily skin I really feel as though this does make a difference I will be using this as soon as possible, my skin needs a little treat and this is the perfect mask!

Huda Beauty – Dessert Dusk Palette see here

Yep, I brought it. I saw it in person & it was love at first sight. The pictures online really do not do this eyeshadow palette justice. I mean they are absolutely incredible and when I swatched them I just knew I couldn’t walk away. I reeeaaally hope that the pigmentation will be amazing on my eyes because boy I’m going to look good.

Charlotte Tilbury

Ok, so actually I didn’t buy this and nor was it brought on Black Friday BUT I just wanted to share this little baby because I’m so flipping excited. So my boyfriend didn’t come to Berlin with me and unfortunately I got an awful head cold while I was out there. When we flew back he stayed awake and presented me with a little bag of goodies.

First was some throat sweets – practical. Apple Juice – it was divine. Garnier Micellar Water – my favourite skincare product EVER. Simple Face Wipes – handy AND a Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Lips in Show Girl see here I was over the blooming moon & so grateful to receive such a lovely thoughtful gift. It made me even more happier that he had clearly been reading my blog as I mentioned this on my Christmas Wishlist here – top boyfriend points. I’m so excited to try this out, yes I have an addiction to liquid lipstick – I have no shame!

That’s all folks, I think I will now put myself on a spending ban! Let me know if you have tried any of these products before & what your thoughts are on them.

Christmas Beauty Wishlist 2017

Hello my lovelies,

So it’s that time of year where Christmas is upon us and for me the countdown has well and truly begun. For me I have already done 70% of my Christmas shopping, yes I am that crazy organised freak! Everyone always has a wishlist and although I have given my actual Christmas list to my parents I thought for everyone else who wants to be noisy or is wanting to get me something this may help.

I had a lot of fun thinking about what I wanted, if you have been reading my posts for a while some of these items have been on wishlists for quite some time and I still haven’t got round to buying them. Christmas for me is the best time of the year, spending time with your loved ones, snuggling in blankets watching Christmas films as well as all the food. Gifts for me are an added bonus and I don’t give to receive I just genuinely love watching people open their presents as I put a lot of thought into them.

CHRISTMAS WISHLIST 2017

  1. Oskia – Renaissance Cleansing Gel see here

I have wanted this for a long time to be honest. I have heard so many great things about the product and the brand as a whole that I know this is the next cleanser that I want to get my hands on. For me as much as I love make up, skincare is so important to me and spending a little more on it is a worthwhile thing to do.

2. Huda Beauty – Warm Brown Obsessions Palette see here

So this is Huda Beauty’s most recent launch and I NEED to get my hands on it. The shades are absolutely beautiful and nothing like anything I own. Slowly I am heading towards these shades they are just so beautiful and perfect for the cold weather. I have heard a lot of good things of the pigmentation of these eye shadows – I’m hoping this won’t disappoint. The only product I currently have from Huda Beauty is the Liquid Lipstick which I reviewed here

3. Clinique – Moisture Surge see here

I had a little mini of this and I fell in love, the texture and the effect the product had on my skin completely wowed me. I know that I need to get my hands on a new pot because I don’t think I can live without it. I mentioned this in my most recent empties post and I knew this would be straight on my Christmas Wishlist. Honestly if you are in the market for a new moisturiser I would seriously consider this little baby.

4. Charlotte Tilbury – Liquid Matte Lipstick in Show Girl see here

This is a fairly recent launch from Charlotte Tilbury and I have been to my local counter to try these out, I love near enough all the colours in the range but I have decided the first one I want is Show Girl. I am a complete sucker for a liquid lip and I feel that Charlotte Tilbury have been a little late on the hype of this but I’m hoping it is worth the wait!

5. MAC – Pigment in Museum Bronze see here

I completely fell in love with MAC pigments, I finally got my hands on the Blue/Brown Pigment which took me ages to get and now I have it I need more colours. They are absolutely beautiful and my oh my the colours are AMAZING. I have decided after a lot of deliberation that the next colour I want to go for is Museum Bronze. I feel like I could wear this on its own or I could mix other colours with it. Yes I’m that person that thinks of everything.

6. Kevyn Aucoin – Sculpting Powder in Medium see here

In the last year I have really upped my contour game and spent time on it as well as trying out a lot of products. I saw this around 8 months ago and it caught my eye from a number of different bloggers. Every time I am willing to take the plunge in the cost of the product it’s always sold out. I thought the best hope of me getting this is to put it on my Christmas list, lets hope dreams do come true! I know that when I get my hands on this my cheek bones are going to look AMAZING!

7. Hourglass – Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 3 see here

I don’t think this product needs much explanation literally I saw it and fell in love. Who does not want this palette!? I am tempted to buy it myself but I just can’t justify spending that amount of money so close to Christmas. The shade range in this palette is outstanding and I have heard only good things about this palette. Santa I promise I have been good this year – I hope this will be in my stocking!

8. Tarte – Shape Tape Concealer see here

Another product that I need to get my hands on very soon otherwise I feel like I am going to go insane! Everyone and their dog has spoken about this concealer and I think the time has come for me to join the bandwagon. Who doesn’t want a full coverage concealer in their collection. I don’t currently own anything from Tarte but I have always known the first product I want to get my hands on is this one. Unfortunately it just is a little tricky to get your hands on here in the UK.

That’s a wrap guys! Talking about Christmas has well and truly got me into the spirit I just want the day to come now! Let me know if you have tried any of these products out and what your thoughts are. What is on your beauty Christmas list this year?

Review| Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipsticks

Hello my lovelies!

Another review for you wonderful people. These are my favourite posts to write because I love to try new things out and see what they can and can’t do. Merely it is my opinion but I hope it helps when wanting to decide whether a product is right for you or not. I always read reviews on products before I buy them, I like to know whether it’s a complete waste of money before buying it.

Huda Beauty is a brand I stumbled across on the lovely Cult Beauty Website. I hadn’t heard too much about them apart from their eyeshadow palettes. I have waaaay to many eyeshadow palettes and I couldn’t find one at the time that I completely fell in love with so my next go to product to try out was a liquid lipstick of course. As time has gone on I have heard more and more about these so I thought I would let you know my thoughts..

The shade I picked up was Vixen, which from the outside is a deep red/brown colour which is completely up my street. If I am honest I found it so hard to choose just one shade because they are all so beautiful! As I had never tried them before I thought rather than buying the whole range I should just stick to one so I can decide whether they are for me or not. What I loved on the cult beauty website was that they actually had pictures of the liquid lipstick applied to lips so you could see what it actually looks like. The amount of times I have brought something from the colour of the packaging for it to turn out nothing like it – it’s so annoying!

I love the frosted packaging, and how simple it is. You can just tell the brand have really thought about the way it looks and I think they have done an amazing job. It comes with a doe foot applicator which is my favourite way to apply liquid lipstick. I find it so easy to work with and allows me to get a crisp line so I don’t have to use a lip liner. The less products for me to apply the better!

The liquid lipstick has a strange smell to it, for me it kind of smells like white chocolate – I feel that they have tried to take the smell of MAC lipsticks and put their own stamp on it, personally it’s not for me. However, it’s not completely overwhelming and how often do you actually smell your lip products!

The application of the liquid lipstick is really easy, I don’t feel as though it gets patchy in areas and it is extremely pigmented. One layer of this and you are good to go. It is quite a thick consistency so just be wary of this, personally this doesn’t bother me but I just thought I would make you aware. The drying time of this is actually pretty instant you don’t have to wait ages to drink a cup of tea and there is not lipstick marks on your cup!

From the title this is a matte liquid lip, which is my favourite. I’m not a fan on a gloss finish, however I am very picky with matte formulations. You don’t want to feel that your lips are tight and dry you want to know that it’s going to stay all day and not dry your lips out. Well – this product ticks those boxes. Very rarely do I have to top this up, only when I’m eating a messy dinner do I feel like I need to check myself out. Half the time I forget this is on my lips. It’s extremely comfortable for a liquid lipstick especially because of this being quite a bold colour.

For me, I’m seriously impressed. I don’t really have a bad word to say about it. The colour I’m obsessed with and the formulation is perfect for me. I love it so much that I brought one for my sister for her birthday who shares my love of these now. My issue is that I want to buy them all now but they aren’t the most friendly on the purse strings. However, if you are looking to have a little splurge I would highly recommend having a look at these beauties.

You can pick them up from here

Let me know if you have tried these before and your thoughts – what is your favorite shade? Also I would like to try more Huda Beauty products – recommendations would be appreciated!
