Hello my lovelies,
Another Empties post, at the moment I seem to be flying through products. It seems as though products just end at the same time and although it’s frustrating I either have a brand new product to try in replacement of it or I have another bottle of the same stuff waiting to taking it’s place that looks like new. My products just get so grubby and I always think about cleaning them up for these pictures but where is the real life in that? I wish all the empty bottles looked great but we all know they aren’t in tip-top shape. I just call it well loved!
Lush – Snow Fairy Shower Gel
We all know that this is amazing – if you haven’t tried it before then you must. I stock up at Christmas time due to the being limited edition and use them sparingly over the year. Sadly, I only have one bottle left so I am going to take a break over summer – use something else and hopefully crack my last bottle out in September time ready for the release in November. This is a sickly sweet scent but to be honest it’s exactly what I need in an evening and it instantly makes me smile. Happiness in a bottle I call it – especially after a bad day, there is nothing better.
Benefit – Precisely, My Brow Pencil see here
Another cult favourite product in my collection that I have finished recently. This is the only product I will use on my brows. In my eyes it’s just perfect. The shade 3.5 works perfectly for me, the finish is just exactly what I want. It is more on the natural side of brows and to be honest as I have got older I have much preferred this look. Gone are the days where I look like I have slugs above my eyes! I can’t tell you how many I have been through of these but it’s well worth the investment in my opinion. Obviously I had another one of these waiting in the wings to open when this finished.
Clarins – Water Purify One Step Cleanser see here
I’m really gutted I didn’t get round to reviewing this on my blog because this is AMAZING. If you have read any of my skincare posts then you would know when it comes to water cleansers then Garnier Micellar Water is what I use and only use. This year I wanted to ensure it was as good as other products out there on the market. I went to a Clarins appointment and I was given this as part of the treatment and to be honest I thought – well it’s just an expensive version of my Garnier cult product.
Although my god it’s good. I was extremely sad when this ran out. I’m so tempted to buy another bottle of this stuff. My skin really thanked me for using this. To be honest this was my first go at using Clarins products and I am thoroughly impressed and keen to see what else they have to offer. If you have any recommendations of Clarins products – send them my way!
Make Up Forever – Step 1 Radiant Primer see here
I have loved using this primer, although it’s a radiant primer which is something I normally keep away from with my oily complexion it really worked for me. I mean excuse the grubby tube – it seems to attract anything and everything! It’s a cream based primer which I really enjoy using and it worked with every single foundation which is always a winner. I will say – I didn’t pay full price for this I think I paid around £7 from TK MAXX and I looked to repurchase this and it’s £26.. which for a primer that I like but my all time favourite is at least £10 cheaper I just can’t seem to justify it.
I think that it’s great that I have tried it and if I see it again in TK MAXX I will be sure to pick it up but personally I wouldn’t pay full price for it..
L’Oreal – Extraordinary Clay Re-Balancing Shampoo see here
What a product. This is my hair care saviour. This has massively changed my hair game and to be honest my scalp and hair is a lot less oily. I used to, without fail have to wash my hair 3/4 times a week – now I’m down to 2. It leaves my hair feeling wonderful and light. This has been an amazing find this year – I just can’t stop using the range for me it’s truly ground breaking and I can’t see myself using anything else apart from this range. I have actually reviewed this here if you would like a little more information.
Revolution – Conceal and Define Foundation see here
What a beautiful foundation. I have loved using this product and when I was running low I quickly headed to Superdrug to pick up another. I will say with the summer months ahead I have gone up to F3 just as this is a little on the pale side. I’m always changing the foundation I’m wearing as I have quite a selection but I have been loyal to this for a good 3 months now which is so unlike me. I love the application and it just works so well for my skin. I have again reviewed this here if you would like to know a little more.
Collection – Colour Lash Clear Mascara see here
Ok, so I will be honest. This doesn’t look clear but I promise you it once was. A lot of people ask me why I have a clear mascara in my collection. Well, I use it to set my brows. I find it the perfect texture and consistency. I don’t require a setting product to have any colour as I do use an eye brow pencil so it’s just to keep them in place and this does the job – for the whole day may I add. It doesn’t move but nor do they look crispy – they look natural and to be honest they barely look as though they have product in. It’s well worth considering if you are on the hunt for a new brow setting product – obviously I have gone out and brought another!
Primark – Oval Cosmetic Pads
So by now we must all know that these are by far the best cotton pads on the market. They are best for value for money and quantity in my opinion. I know there has been a lot of discussion recently with regards to re-usable cotton pads which is something I am looking into at the moment to see if it is right for me and what are the best ones to get. In the mean time these will also be the best disposable cotton pads on the market – I mean 90p for 100 pads!
Batiste – Dry Shampoo in Bright and Lively Floral see here
Another hair care saviour in my collection. One of these always seems to make it into my empties. It’s a well loved product that I simply just can’t be without. This is the first time I have had this scent, and I must be honest – I can’t really tell the difference between them the scents just aren’t that strong for me! I just pick up whatever one is on the shelf, I normally go for one I have had before but if I am honest I’m not fussy! Of course I am stocked up and already a new bottle of this.
Tarte – Gifted Mascara see here
So this was my favourite mascara in my collection for a good year and for a long time it was the only mascara I used. Recently, I have fallen out of love with it and I don’t really know why. It just wasn’t working with my lashes. I didn’t know whether it was because this was drying up so I opened a new one and still I wasn’t crazy impressed. This one has well and truly dried up and good for the bin but I don’t know what to do with the current one that is now open because I just don’t seem to enjoy the end product they just seem so short and clumpy. Has anyone else ever experienced this with a mascara before?
& that’s a wrap! Gold star to you if you managed to get to the end of this post – it was a long one. Let me know if you have tried any of these products before and what your thoughts are on them.
