Hello my lovelies,
Recently I went on a little shop, sometimes you just say to yourself – you’ve worked hard so go and treat yourself so, that’s exactly what I did. I mean I didn’t go mad but they were things I was in need of. I’m a big fan of trying new things so it’s what I try and do most of the time, however there are just some products that I just can’t stop buying. This haul consists of products from: Boots, Primark and Aldi – what a combination right?
Primark – Oval Cosmetic Pads
I haven’t picked these up in what feels like forever and I seem to be a little low (down to half a packet low) and I stocked up on two new packs. For me these are the best on the market when it comes to cotton pads for both quality and price. Although annoyingly I can’t give you over a link, but just pop them in your basket when you are next in your local store I promise it’ll be life changing. Side note – have you all heard the great news that Primark are FINALLY getting an online store – this really is the best news I have heard all year!
Lee Stafford – Heat Protection Shine Mist see here
So I was in great need of a new heat protector, with my recent hair change I have been styling it more which is fine but I worry about the damage it could cause. My sister is a hairdresser so is all things hair so with a novice like me – I need advise! This was the product she recommended and to be honest I have heard an awful lot about Lee Stafford I have just never brought anything. I have brought a travel sized version just to make sure I’m happy before purchasing the full size product. I will keep you updated on my thoughts!
Lacura – Refining and Mattifying Pink Clay Exfoliating Face Scrub see here
So this baby I picked up in Aldi of all places. To be honest with this brand which I believe is exclusively for Aldi, I just want to try it out. It’s so damn affordable it would be rude not to. I believe I paid £2.99 for this product and in my eyes that’s an absolute bargain! I always look for products that promote mattifying skin and that’s ultimately what I need – less shine! I’m a sucker for a good exfoliating scrub and I can’t wait to try it, of course I will be sure to let you know how I get on!
Collection – Colour Lash Clear Mascara see here
This is a firm favourite in my collection which I am always repurchasing. Your probably thinking Alice, what in the world do you do with a clear mascara!? Well I don’t put it on my eyelashes, I actually use this to set my brows and it works wonders. Where I can I do like to save money and as I don’t require a tinted gel to set them using a clear mascara, which may I add is a fraction of the price! It’s a no brainer to me and if you haven’t thought of trying it then I would highly recommend!
Lacura – Detoxifying and Brightening Purifying Pink Clay Mask see here
What a mouthful the name of this one is! I have never tried a pink mud mask before but I am all for it. Anything that claims to make my skin better I am there to try. I have been so lazy when it comes to applying face masks recently so I am hoping this will encourage me to get into the routine of using them again and to be honest for £5.99 I just couldn’t say no. Of course I will report back and let you know whether it is worth picking up.
Primark – Pink Clay Pore Refining Mask
I’m clearly a sucker for pink clay masks at the moment. I picked this up as it was only 80p I mean who can say no? I know Primark stock a lot of different packet masks so they are well worth checking out if you are in the market for a new mask. They are just good to try out and they cater for all different skin problems and skin types so I’m sure there will be one for you in their collection.
Benefit – Precisely, My Brow Pencil see here
This is another repurchase and one I will continue to buy for a long, long time. This is my go to brow pencil and to be honest I don’t use anything else and nor do I care to use anything else because it’s so flipping amazing and works for me. If you are after a new brow pencil where it’s buildable and actually looks natural then this is the pencil you need to try out. A lot of people rave about the Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Whiz but for me this just tips it, I have actually compared the two here if you want to go over and see the differences. Benefit for me is just the queen of brows!
Liz Earle – Cleanse & Polish see here
What a cleanser. This for me is a cult classic and just really the best of the best when it comes to hot cloth cleansers. It removes make up with ease and leaves your skin feeling divine. I always have a bottle of this in my collection and although I may try others or not use it for a couple of months I always end up coming back to this little baby. I have never really heard a bad word said about this product and there is a reason why – it’s pretty damn perfect. If you haven’t tried this before or are wanting to delve into the world of a hot cloth cleanser then I urge you to go and purchase this immediately!
Batiste – Dry Shampoo in Floral see here
Last but by no means least, the hair product I just couldn’t live without. Batiste for me really are the only brand I will ever use for dry shampoo. They are affordable and do exactly what they say they will do. I suffer with oily roots so this product just makes the oil stay at bay so I don’t have to wash my hair every day. I could write an essay on why I love this product but I won’t because I am sure everyone is aware of how amazing the product is. This is a new scent that I haven’t used before as I couldn’t find my normal one so here is hoping I still love it!
That’s all folks, I’m sure these products will keep me going for a little while and I’m certain I will be reviewing some of these babies soon so keep you eyes out! Let me know if you have tried any of these products out, I’d love to know your thoughts!
