Top 3 Liquid Lipsticks

Hello my lovelies!

So this post is one of my favourites to write because I adore liquid lipsticks. I have been wearing them for years and I have gone through so many different formulas! I’m a matte wearing girl and to get a formula that actually works seems actually pretty difficult. All I’m after is a lipstick that is long wearing, comfortable and is matte – not to much to ask for right? Well, it does seem to be the case as some formulas are just blooming awful and after a lot of testing I have finally found my top 3 that I just can’t live without!

Missguided Liquid Lipstick see here

This is my most recent discovery and actually is the most affordable in this post. I just absolutely love the formula of this. It’s super lightweight on the lips and is able to last all day without feeling dry or uncomfortable which is a massive plus when it comes to matte formulas. Half the time I forget I have this on because it’s so comfortable. Pigmentation wise it also hits the spot, although the formula is pretty thin it really packs a punch on application and you don’t seem to need a lot.

My favourite out of their collection is their dusky pink colour, which is called please me. Well the name is very apt because it does please me greatly! Missguided are really onto a winner here and I hope they realise that they have a special formula which lipstick lovers like me have been searching for. The only part of this lipstick which people may have an issue with is the smell, which unfortunately does give the sense of its cost but if you can see past that you are onto a winner. I have written a full review here if you want to read a little more into this beauty.

Too Faced – Melted Matte see here

I think this is the most talked about liquid lipstick on my blog and one I am forever using. Although this is £21 it’s well worth investing in because the formulation is just incredible. My favourite shade in the range is Queen B which I absolutely adore and started my love affair with dusky pinks. The longevity of this is incredible although not quite as good as Missguided’s I must say. The pigmentation of this is incredible and the colour really is how you see it in the tube which actually is quite a big thing. There is nothing more annoying than buying a shade because of how the tube looks and once applied it’s completely different.

This is a very bold liquid lipstick and the range of colours they have is very impressive. I always worry about bolder, brighter colours when it comes to liquid lipsticks as they can go horribly wrong but Too Faced really have found a winner with this formulation. Especially when it comes to how quickly these dry onto the lips so once it’s on, it’s not going anywhere. Which, when you are going for a bright colour you need it to stay in place because no one wants a bright red or blue lipstick all over your face!

Sephora – Cream Lip Stain Matte see here

Last but by no means least, the Sephora Cream Lip Stain. I have no idea why these are not talked about more because within the beauty world as they are amazing. When I first went to Sephora I was drew to them instantly and I picked up 2 because I just knew I was going to love them. I just wish there was a Sephora in the UK so I can pick up more of them because they really are fantastic. This formula is the most comfortable out of the three especially when it comes to the bolder colours. I have a beautiful mauve shade, pictured below in 13, Marvelous Mauve and 78, Chilli Pepper which is a red. The red works incredibly well and is my go to red lip colour.

Again like the two I have mentioned the pigmentation and longevity of this formula is incredible. Unfortunately this one is always forgotten about in my collection as the packaging is a little plain but as they say don’t judge a book by it’s cover! Sephora have really nailed the formula and I cannot wait to go back and pick up some for, I literally want every shade in the range!

See below the shades I have mentioned, the one on the left is Sephora’s Marvelous Mauve. The middle is Too Faced Queen B and the one on the right is Missguided’s Dusty Mauve.

Let me know if you have tried any of these liquid lipsticks and what your favourite shades are. Also let me know what your favourite liquid lipstick formulations are as I’m always up for trying new ones!
