March Favourites

Hello my lovelies,

Another month gone, I can’t believe how quickly these months are flying by. How are we approaching April!? For me, I do love March the sun starts to shine and everyone seems happier as it’s finally Spring! I had such a lovely month consisting of my big sister getting married, attending my first public lecture, girls day out in London and continuing my love for all things beauty. I will say, being so busy this month has meant that that I don’t get the opportunity to try too many new products or shop my stash however I do have some gems to share with you.

Too Faced – Hangover Primer see here

So, for me this is a complete shocker that it’s made it into my favourites. First off I don’t like coconut and believe me – it’s highly scented but somehow I have managed to see past it and to be honest it’s a good job I have. It’s a cream based primer which instantly hydrates and protects the skin. I adore using this every time I apply make up and to be honest this has been the only primer I have been using this month.

For me, it’s not that great for oily skin without a top up of powder throughout the day your skin will become shiny but with a top up this really is a beautiful primer to use for base products. I also love that it’s one of the only primers I have come across which has a pump which is just amazing, I much prefer it!

Revolution – Conceal & Define Foundation see here

I don’t know why I haven’t written a review on this product.. and I will get round to it I promise, but for now know that it’s really blooming impressive. For the price and what it has to offer I am really shocked. I honestly didn’t think this would have much to offer but it really has. The coverage is medium definitely buildable and creates a lovely matte base that lasts all day. The part I love most about this is that it has a doe foot applicator – I mean what more could you want!? For me this is a dupe for the Clinique 2 in 1 Foundation and Concealer which is great because that’s fairly expensive! I will be reviewing this soon so if you want a little more information keep your eyes peeled!

Liz Earle – Cleanse & Polish see here

What a classic! I adore this and I do go through phases of using this and at the moment I absolutely adore it. It really is the number one hot cloth cleanser in my opinion. I have tried so many in my time and although I have fallen in love with others I always come back to this cleanser without fail. My skin just really appreciates it when I use this, my skin is left so replenished and clean – what more could you want!? If you are wanting to up your cleanser game or have never tried a hot cloth cleanser then honestly you need to purchase this one. I promise you, you won’t regret it!

KIKO – Daring Game Blush, 02

So unfortunately this was part of a limited edition collection, which is what most of their make up seems to be. A few years ago I was really obsessed with picking up pieces from their stores but I found it so hit and miss. This has been in my collection for some while and I decided to give this another go and let me tell you I fell in love with the raspberry rose shade all over again (left). It’s the perfect flush of rose that I need for my cheeks which just looks beautiful on my skin. For how much I have used this, it doesn’t even look as though I have even touched it but I promise you I have! If you have this lurking in your collection I urge you to dig it out and get using it!

This Works – Deep Sleep Pillow Spray see here

Although this isn’t a beauty product as such I really wanted to mention this as this has really helped my in recent weeks. I know this is a product that has been out for a long time and to be honest I have never thought much about it. I think I got this travel size version in my beauty advent calendar and I thought I wouldn’t use it but here I am talking to you about it!

I don’t think this actually sends me off to sleep but I do think that this calms and clears my mind in order for me to actually drift off to sleep. I lead a very busy life and at night my brain is on overdrive and this is the perfect spray to relax the mind in order for me to go to sleep – it’s life changing and has really helped me out! I don’t use it every night just when I get restless and instantly it is able to sort me out. Highly recommend trying this if you have trouble sleeping or your mind works overdrive like mine late at night!

Barry M – Sandstorm Eyeshadow Palette see here

What a palette. I can’t tell you how impressed I am with this. I cannot stop using this palette and to be honest this has been the only shadows I have been putting on my eyes this moth. It’s a gorgeous warm toned palette with so many beautiful colours. I still can’t believe it’s from Barry M as the formulations of some of these shadows really rival some of the more high end/luxe brands. It just goes to show that the drugstore are still competing and able to churn out some really impressive products.

I never pick anything up from Barry M but this has completely changed my mind when it comes to the brand and I may have to try other products from them. It’s true what they say – never judge a book by it’s cover. I have recently written a review on this little baby so if you want to find out a little more see here

Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what your thoughts are of them!
