Top 5 Products Under £5

Hello my lovelies,

Within the blogging world it’s very easy to get sucked into all the expensive products and to be honest within my blog I do mention a fair few high end products. However, I have firm favourites within my collection which are extremely affordable. I feel as though sometimes it’s forgotten how amazing the drugstore actually is and rivals the likes of products that cost double or triple the price. I thought I would share my cult classics and most of these I have shared in my blog before but I just want to shout about how wonderful they truly are.

Missguided – Matte Lip Liquid Lipstick see here

So, this actually comes in a set which works out to £2.50 per liquid lipstick which is incredible value. I honestly think this is one of the best liquid lipsticks I have ever come across. The colour, the formula, the staying power – I just can’t fault this little baby. I have never known a liquid to wear so well as well as being incredibly light on the lips. This really does rival the likes of my Huda Beauty liquid lipsticks which I adore. Annoyingly they only have 4 shades and I really hope Missguided realise they are onto a winner with these and bring out more because I’d be first in the queue to buy them all! I have actually written a full review here if you would like to find out a little more about them!

Collection – Colour Lash Mascara in Clear see here

So I know what you are thinking, it’s doesn’t look clear in the tube. I know, it doesn’t look pretty but trust me a life saver! I use this as an eyebrow setting gel. Who needs to pay a lot of money for a specific gel when in actual fact all you need is a £1.99 clear mascara. This quickly sets my brows without becoming hard or clumpy. As I use an eyebrow pencil I don’t require any further tint from a setting brow so this is perfect. Although I love a luxury product there is nothing better than finding a bargain!

Rimmel – Exaggerate Lip Liner 1000 in Eastend Snob see here

This is my favourite lip liner EVER. This has been in the beauty world for quite some time with the whole 90’s lip vibe. Everyone says this is a dupe for MAC’s whirl lip liner – but I would say this is much better. I have no shame is saying that. For one, it’s a retractable liner no need for a pencil sharpener which is always a winner for me. The formula is a lot better, it’s creamy and effortlessly lines the lips. To be honest, I use this on it’s own because the colour and formulation of this is just perfect. The staying power is pretty impressive and I never feel as though I need to constantly top this up. Honestly, if you haven’t tried these then you really should, for £3.99 you just can’t go wrong and I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.

Batiste – Dry Shampoo see here

This is my life saver. I’m not one to do an awful lot with my hair but I do suffer with oily roots, so to stop me washing it daily this baby comes to the rescue. I just find that this is just the perfect formulation of dry shampoo for me. It’s lightweight, smells amazing and I never suffer with white patches within my hair once it’s applied. I can’t tell you how many bottles of this stuff I go through but for £2.99 you can’t go wrong. I apply this near enough every day to help with oily roots but also to create a bit of volume as I battle with fine hair. If you haven’t try this then I would highly recommend.

Garnier – Micellar Cleansing Water see here

I do have the 700ml which is over £5 however the 400ml bottle is £4.99. I just always buy the big bottles now as they last me a little longer. This is my one skincare product I just can’t be without. It’s my safety blanket when it comes to skincare and I adore it. I have tried many micellar waters in my time and nothing comes close to this. It removes all my make up effortlessly, refreshes my skin and causes no irritation to my skin or eyes. What more could you want? If anyone uses wipes I always guide them to this product and so many people have been converted. It’s an all round product which has so many different uses. A 700ml bottle keeps me going for a good 3 months which I think is amazing value. Seriously if you haven’t tried this yet then you really need to!

Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what your thoughts are on them. Also, let me know your favourite products under £5

  1. Hi Alice! Batiste Dry Shampoo is an absolute lifesaver for me, too! I don’t know what I’d do without it haha. And I agree about the Garnier Micellar Water – it’s the only one I’ve used that doesn’t irritate my eyes. Can’t remember the last time I used wipes!

  3. I love Batiste dry shampoo, especially the colour tinted ones! It covers my roots and cuts out oil. Definitely an all time favourite. I’m really interested in trying the Missguided lipsticks, I didn’t know they did them. Thanks for the tip!
