January Favourites

Hello my lovelies,

Another month has gone past, although January feels as though it has gone on forever I have had a good month. I spent a lot of time finding myself and doing things I enjoy rather than pleasing others and I feel so much better. I am in a completely different heads space than what I was a month a go. I have spent a lot more time on my blog, which I have loved and I have upped my Instagram game – finally!  I’m very excited for the month ahead and to continue my love for my blog!

Estee Lauder – Double Wear Concealer see here

This has been my saviour this month. I think with all the bad food over Christmas and the cold weather my skin flared up and I had spots left right and centre. This little baby was able to cover everything up with no issue whatsoever. It’s so good to have products in your collection that you can really rely on especially when your skin is not playing ball. It is a very heavy duty concealer so I don’t use it under my eyes but for those imperfections that need a bit more coverage after foundation this is always what I use. I am so glad I have this in my collection!

L’Oreal – Elvive Extraordinary Clay Shampoo & Conditioner see here

I’m not one to talk much about hair products but these babies I just want to scream and shout about. I have oily hair, to the point where I fully rely on dry shampoo on a daily basis otherwise I will be washing my hair every day. I have tried so many different shampoo and conditioners but although my hair feels clean after it was nothing special and didn’t do anything to combat my oily roots. I saw this range and it just called my name oily roots, dry ends – this is me! I didn’t hold out much hope as I am always left disappointed, however I am completely amazed. My oily roots are no longer and my hair feels incredible. I can’t begin to explain but now I can go around 3-4 days without washing my hair. I am SO impressed. I will be doing a full review on this so keep your eyes peeled but I just wanted to share how obsessed I am!

Glamglow – Supermud Clearing Treatment see here

With my skin being pretty bad this month I have been using face masks a lot more than normal to help any way I can. This little baby has been a godsend. I have really enjoyed using this and has been my mask of choice all month. Although this a mini I have used it a fair few times. This dries so quickly on the skin and you can instantly see the impurities from your skin being removed. This also removes from my face like a dream and my skin is left feeling amazing. I have really noticed a difference in using this and my skin has most definitely calmed down. It may be a pricey product but in my opinion – totally worth it!

Loreal – Infallible 24h Matte Foundation see here

I adore this foundation and have done for a long time. This month with my skin I needed a foundation that would be long lasting, fairly high coverage and was able to control oil. Obviously this baby won by a mile and I have really enjoyed using it. It’s so affordable and competes with so many of my more expensive foundations. I just find it works for my skin without clogging up my pores or making my skin worse. With it being so lightweight I never feel as though I have been weighed down and although behind the foundation my skin has been struggling on the outside with the help of this little baby my skin looks fab!

Missguided – Matte Liquid Lip see here

I have recently written a full review as to why I love this, well the whole range of liquid lipsticks here so if you want further detail then click away! I would say this has been my go to liquid lip mainly down to the colour but as the formula is so amazing that is also a massive help. This is a pink/mauve colour which stays on the lips all day long comfortably with no issues. The colour seems to go with all my make up looks and always looks amazing. I have been getting quite a few comments this month of my lip colour and every time when I tell them what it is are always shocked. It’s true what they say – never judge a book by it’s cover.

Make Up Forever – Step 1 Radiant Primer see here

Now, to some this will shock you. I’m a matte girl through and through. But when you are piling on a matte foundation and a thick concealer what you need underneath is a primer that will let your skin shine through a little so you don’t look completely flat. This makes my skin look less dull especially in the cold weather your skin needs a little pick me up and this has been the product to do exactly just that. Just because you have oily skin doesn’t mean you aren’t able to use these type of products.

Huda Beauty – Warm Brown Obsessions Palette see here

Last but no means least, my little ray of sunshine. I adore this palette. This is all I have used to create multiple different looks this month. This sees me through day time looks and evening looks with complete ease. The formulations of these are incredible and I am well and truly in love with this palette. I find this so versatile and although it doesn’t look like much my eyes seem to adore it. I am a complete sucker for orange and warm brown tones and this is the perfect little palette to experiment with. It’s well loved, and my only annoyance is the golden shade goes everywhere – but I suppose nothing is perfect right? The picture looks as though I have barely used this but I promise you – this is well loved!

Let me know if you have tried any of these products out and what your thoughts are on them.

  1. I’ve always wanted to try the Double Wear foundation, I didn’t even know they did a concealer in it too! That Huda Beauty palette is stunning, you’ve got so many favourites this month and I haven’t tried any of them, I think I need to change that!

  2. great post! I love reading what people have enjoyed during the month! I have used a few of these products and really enjoyed them. Okay, well not these products exactly but the hydrating and the pore filling primer from makeup forever ( I forget what steps they are) are really great! I’ve wanted to try huda beauty shadows for a while and this post convinced me to finally give them a go! x

  3. I definitely want to pick up the Make Up For Ever primer after reading this, I’m loving more of a natural and glowy look lately so this sounds like it would be perfect for that. I remember raving about that shampoo and conditioner duo months ago, it seems like they don’t really do many products for people with and oily scalp but dry ends and those are so perfect for it! I didn’t know Missguided did their own make-up products, that lip colour looks gorgeous x

    1. Make Up Forever do so many different variations of this primer depending on what you are after which is amazing. I know! Do haircare brands not realise that this is an issue and I want to be able to combat both rather than just one. Nor did I until I received it, so impressed! Thanks for reading xo
