Empties #19

Hello my lovelies,

Another empties post, I seem to be going through quite a few products recently – my basket of empty products is forever piling up so I’m sure it won’t be too long until next one. These posts always give me a sense of satisfaction because I know I can finally get rid of things that in essence just collect dust after a while. I seem to be getting through a fair few hair products recently which always surprises me as I don’t seem to use many!

Soap & Glory – Clean on Me Shower Gel see here

This is a travel sized version of this product, I have had this in my collection for a while and I always take these away whilst travelling and then finish them up when I get home. To be honest I don’t massively rate Soap & Glory shower gels. I mean don’t get me wrong they clean my body but there isn’t anything special about the formula. The smell never lingers on my body so for me they are pretty basic. I wouldn’t repurchase these, but I am gifted these fairly frequently so I will use them just not by choice!

Dove – Regenerate Nourishment Conditioner see here

I had the Shampoo in my previous Empties Post where to be honest the conditioner was the same. Nothing ground breaking or amazing in my opinion. What annoys me though, why does shampoo and conditioner never finish at the same time. It is so frustrating and it’s not be a little amount of products it’s normally weeks worth of product. I feel like I am doing something seriously wrong!

Tarte – Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara see here

What a wonderful mascara. In fact, all of the Tarte mascaras I have tried which is now 4 different formulas I haven’t been disappointed in any of them. This, I would say is a firm second in the ranking and I really enjoy using this. I find that it creates beautiful fluttery lashes that is able to hold a curl. It stays all day, never causes panda eyes and is a dream to remove. I love this so much that if people ask me what mascara to buy I always recommend this one.

It is a little pricey, but for a fail safe mascara that won’t let you down then it’s worth paying that little extra in my opinion. I love that Tarte often make limited edition packaging for this mascara, it makes it a little more fun and special when you buy one. I would say the packaging is a little much though for the environment as the mascara is in a normal mascara tube and then it has their fabric material over the top…

Simple – Smoothing Facial Scrub see here

I think this has to be my favourite scrub/exfoliator for my face that I have ever used. It works so well, it is a little harsh so for sensitive skin you may just want to try it out before you put it all over your face. I have been struggling with my skin in these colder months and this has really helped to remove all the dead skin cells etc. that has been harbouring on my skin. It’s so affordable and although I have tried a lot of different scrubs this is by far my favourite.

Miss Sporty – Just Clear Mascara see here

In my time, I have gone through a lot of these. Now I don’t apply this to my lashes – I apply this to my brows as a setting gel. I’m not about spending a lot of money on a gel that really just needs to set my brows in place – I use a eyebrow pencil so I don’t need any added colour. For £3 this is a winner for me and it works for me and my brows. I mean from the picture below they don’t look pretty after a while and I do change them up but trust me – it works!

L’Oreal – Elvive Fibrology Thickening Shampoo see here

I have fine hair, so anything that claims to thicken my hair I am all for. I didn’t rate this at all. It doesn’t do anything in the slightest. I used the conditioner with it as well and nothing. All it did was clean my hair but to pay £7 per bottle for something that doesn’t do anything special I’m not too impressed. I have heard people have had results from this but it didn’t work with my hair at all so I will not be repurchasing this again!

So..? – Wild Berries Body Mist see here

I love these body mists. They are perfect for a quick spritz throughout the day. I have this in my car so it’s always in a handy place. I’m a sucker for sweet fruity scents so this is perfect for me. They are highly fragranced so you only need a few spritz and you are good to go. For me, they aren’t particularly long lasting but this doesn’t bother me too much. If you are on the hunt for a new body mist to pop in your handbag I would highly recommend.

Collection – Colour Lash Mascara in Clear see here

Another clear mascara that I use for an eyebrow gel. This I actually prefer over the Miss Sporty one. It seems to stay in place for a lot longer and is cheaper! You do have to make sure you aren’t heavy handed with this though as too much can make your eyebrows look and feel crispy which no one wants!

Batiste – Dry Shampoo in Cherry see here

A firm hair-care favourite and I can’t be without this little baby. I go through so many tubes of this and if you don’t understand by now I adore this stuff. It’s the only dry shampoo I will use. Obviously I have repurchased at least two of these since finishing this – I have to have more than one just in case I may run out. I’m a Batiste crazy lady I know but I have no shame!

Gilchrist & Soames – Shower Gel see here

So, this I picked up whilst travelling. You know the mini’s that you can get. I always pick up the shower gels. I just like to try new things. I loved the shower gel. Mainly due to the citrus scent. I love my fruity smells especially when it comes to shower gels. I mean I don’t think I would go out and buy it, especially at £14 a bottle but it was nice to use and it broke up using other ones in my collection. I hope I’m not the only one that takes the mini’s from the hotel room!

& just like that another 10 products have come and gone and my room & brain feels a whole load better! Let me know whether you have tried any of the products I have mentioned and what your thoughts are.
