Hello my lovelies,
I feel like I haven’t treated myself to some new beauty treats in the longest time. I have missed browsing round Boots to see what I can find. To me, there is nothing more satisfying. I can’t online shop on Boots because I am too afraid I will miss anything – top tip if I say I’m popping into Boots you bet I’ll be in there for at least 30 minutes walking up and down every single aisle! This haul is a mix of new finds for me as well as repurchases.
Batiste – Dry Shampoo in Cherry see here
This is a definite repurchase for me, I’m forever picking one of these up. I normally have at least one spare in case I don’t realise I run out – yes I’m that person. This really is a holy grail product for me. I know there are more and more brands bringing out dry shampoo’s but sometimes if it’s not broke don’t fix it. It’s well priced and does exactly what I want it to do! I mentioned this in my recent empty post if you want to know a little more info about it.
Rimmel London – Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob see here
This is another repurchase and the reason why I decided I needed to go to Boots. This is my favourite ever lip liner. I know it’s a bold statement but it’s true. I went to go and use this a few weeks back and I realised I had run out, I was absolutely gutted. I find this goes with so many shades of lipsticks that this is one of the only nude lip liners I own. It’s beautiful and the formula is so creamy. I would say Rimmel, please can you release more colours because I want more!
E.L.F – Daily Face Cleanser see here
This, I picked up on a complete whim. I didn’t realise Boots has started to stock e.l.f and to be honest it brought back so many memories as when I was younger this was a brand I was forever trying to get hold of. To be honest, there wasn’t a lot left on the stand so I didn’t have much choice but I just wanted to try something.
My cleansers are all currently starting to run out at the same time – what are the odds! So, I thought I would give this a go – I mean I am not holding out much hope as this was only £5 but if it’s any good what a great find! When I get using this I will be sure to let you know what my thoughts are, keep your eyes peeled!
Estee Lauder – Double Wear Foundation & Pump see here
This was my little ‘treat yourself’ product. I actually used my Boots points to purchase this as my current one is running out and I love it so much. If in doubt when you are having a bad skin day or need high coverage then this is the little baby you need. I forgot my shade and the ladies on the counter were so friendly and quickly popped me on a seat to be shade matched. I always find it such a lovely experience and to be honest I’m glad I went because my shade has slightly changed from when I previously picked it up so it’s always worth double checking.
What I love is that Estee Lauder have FINALLY brought out a pump for the bottle. You heard it right – a pump! I have been wanting this for the longest time. I am not a fan of pouring product onto my hand so I have actually been using a MAC pump to see me through but now fear not I don’t need it anymore. It is £5.50 which bumps up the total foundation price to £39.00.. Yea I’m not sure how I feel about it either but as I had enough Boots points I decided not to worry this time round of the cost.
Bourjois – Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipstick see here
I’ll be honest I can’t remember the last time I brought a product from Bourjois – the brand just unfortunately doesn’t call out to me or excite me. However, I am a lover of liquid lipstick and recently I have heard more and more about these babies so I decided to give them a try. I picked up the shades: Don’t Pink of It and Trop Brunche! These are much more neutral tones than I would usually go for but 2019 is more natural tones on my lips – I think my bright lip days may be on their way out.
I will let you know what I think of these in the coming weeks, I really hope I like them because the shade range is beautiful and they are fairly affordable so I’d happily go out and buy more of them.
L’Oreal – Infallible 24H Matte Liquid Foundation in Vanilla see here
I know, another foundation & repurchase. I have gone through so many bottles of this and I just love it. It’s by far my favourite drugstore matte foundation and for me gives Estee Lauder Double Wear a run for their money. I just find it so easy to use and so reliable. It’s great at oil control and it lasts all day long – what more do you want!?
I will be post my favourite foundations in one post soon & I’m sure you will see this feature and I will go into a bit more detail as to why I love this so much. To be honest, L’Oreal foundations in general are pretty impressive so they are worth checking out if you haven’t done already.
L’Oreal – Hydra Genius Aloe Water Daily Moisturiser see here
This moisturiser is incredible and mine is running low and as I’m not sure whether to buy another Clinique Moisture Surge this will do the job in the interim. This moisturiser is so light and instantly sinks into the skin. This really is such a different product to other drugstore moisturisers. I have completed a review of this here so you can check out why I love this so much and whether its worth checking out. It always helps that a lot of L’Oreal skincare are frequently on offer so it makes it even more satisfying to pick up!
Collection – Colour Lash Clear Mascara see here
So this is a little bit of a boring product but it was well and truly needed. Now, I don’t use this on my lashes I use this to set my brows in place. It works wonders and as I don’t require any tint from a brow gel – it works for me . I find a lot of brow gels are pretty expensive and honestly they all effectively do the same thing. I have tried a few different cheap clear mascaras and this has been my favourite to date. Full of tips & tricks me!
Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what your thoughts are – I’d love to know!
