Hello my lovelies,
Another hair post, I know I’m as shocked as everyone. I am determined to mix it up a little in 2018 which means a few more different beauty posts than I have done before which includes hair care. My last hair related post went down really well see here. I am trying to make more an effort with my hair, I’m just so blooming lazy because I don’t really know what to do with it. To give you an insight to my hair it is fine, good condition-ish however it’s quite weak because I have a trail of hair where ever I go! I’m all for giving my hair some volume as it’s so flat as well as shine just to make it more healthy looking. In come this range which claim to do these things to my hair!
I’m a pretty simple girl when it comes to washing my hair, finding really whatever is on offer in Boots which has something relating to moisture or volume. This brand Natural World which until I saw this trio of products I’d never heard of before promotes using natural products from around the world, hence the name. All their products are paraben, phosphate, dyes and gluten free which is pretty amazing. There are not many hair care products on the market that are able to say this. What I love the most is that the products have been created in Soho, London. There is something about products that are created in your own country which makes the brand that little bit better!
Anyway, onto the products themselves the range I have from Natural World is the Chia Seed Oil Range which claims ‘to remove dirt and impurities that weigh the hair down, while helping strengthen for beautifully bouncy, fuller hair. Volume & silky shine for fine hair‘ this is literally everything I want in my hair. The bottle couldn’t of said it better! I was so excited to try these because who doesn’t want their hair looking bouncy AND shiny!? Just so you know I have used these products around 8 times to give as best review as I can!
Obviously we will start with the shampoo, for me shampoo’s are pretty standard products they are these to clean and restore your hair as well as your scalp. This shampoo is anything like I had tried before in the sense that it came out of the bottle like snot, I’m sorry it’s the only thing I can of it relating to. It just felt strange, when I applied it onto my hair it took a while to become all foamy which I don’t know is a good or bad thing. What I noticed is how light the product felt on my head and it washed out so well.
Now the conditioner, pretty standard looking when it came out of the bottle. The thing I noticed that seemed different to my regular conditioners is that it’s pretty thick. You really have to give it some elbow squeezing this out of the bottle, so if your weak like me – you have been warned! It applies really nicely onto my hair and with all conditioners I leave it to soak into my hair for around 3-5 minutes. Again when it come to washing it off it was so quick, normally with conditioner I’m there for a long time washing it out but not with this baby!
Oil’s for me are not something I dabble with all that often because I don’t do much with my hair apart from wash and detangle. As you know, I’m quite open to try things so I thought lets try this. I think I was hoping that this would help to detangle my hair or at least soften, but it didn’t. What I ended up doing was detangling and brushing my hair and then applying this oil, which seemed to work a lot better. On the ‘how to use’ on the back of the bottle it does indicate that you should blow dry your hair, but I don’t do this I’m a towel dry sort of gal and I think this is where I failed when it came to this product.
I just thought an oil would make my hair look amazing, but it didn’t. In fact I didn’t notice any difference. I definitely need to try this when I have a little more time on my hands to blow dry my hair to see if this makes much of a difference. I just like to be a rebel but on this occasion I think I have failed.
Now, all three products together.. I like. But I’m not completely in love, I mean I noticed subtle differences in my hair the fact that it did make my hair feel a lot cleaner. However, I did develop dandruff when I first started using this I don’t know whether this is a coincidence or whether this was caused by these products, who knows! On the volume front, I don’t think it did anything special but I am yet to find a shampoo and conditioner to give me the volume effects that I am after. Although it’s not completely flat it’s nothing to write home about.
What I did notice was that my hair has much more of a shine to it. Visually it looks like my hair is in better condition, I have even had comments from people asking if I had been to the hairdressers recently because it’s in good condition. I have never really made much attention to shine in products but I think I need to start taking note because this little trio has made quite the difference.
I don’t feel as though this strengthened my hair, I mean don’t get my wrong I didn’t get more fall out than usual but it didn’t get any better. As I mentioned with volume, I’m still yet to find a hair care range that can combat this so I’m not particularly disappointed by this but I thought it was worth noting especially when this is one of the claims from the products.
Overall, I like them. I think I would repurchase these, maybe not the oil as I think me and this product still have some testing to go through but definitely the shampoo and conditioner. Now the main reason for this is because of the price, it retails for £6 for a litre which is amazing value! Especially for a natural shampoo/conditioner which are normally pretty blooming expensive I would go and buy them. By no means are they miracle products in my eyes but I do enjoy using them and if I saw them I would pick them up again.
If you would like to know more information about this or want to try them out for yourselves see here
If you have any hair care saviors that will help combat my fine, flat hair then send your recommendations my way!
*please note I was kindly sent these products to review, however all the opinions are my own.
