Review: John Frieda Frizz Ease Leave in Conditioner

Hello lovelies,

Another review, but this one is a little different for me. I don’t usually talk much about hair. 1. because I don’t really know a lot and 2. because I don’t do an awful lot with my hair. In fact I use minimal products and I don’t really have any motivation to try anything different. My hair is in good condition and as my nan used to say if ain’t broke don’t fix it.  However one product I have to use otherwise my hair turns into one big knot is detangler/ leave in conditioner. I finally have tried something new so I thought I would share my thoughts with you.

The detangler I have used religiously for years in The Body Shop’s detangler but I find it so hard to get hold of that I gave up a few months ago and decided it was time to try something new. I actually found it really hard to find a leave in conditioner and I spent an awful long time in Boots walking up and down the hair aisles hoping to find something. I decided to try this one, no real particular reason it was on offer and seemed the best value for money.

I have tried shampoo and conditioner from John Freida before and liked them but didn’t feel like I need to rush out and buy it again. Since this one is on offer and isn’t the cheapest brand in the world I decided to try it out. I can’t actually brush my hair after I have washed it without putting a detangler in my hair it’s near on impossible I have blessed with bloody awful fine knotty hair!

The first time I used this I was worried it wasn’t going to work, I’m a skeptical person when it comes to hair care. However as soon as I put my brush through with a few spritz of this it was a dream! It was so damn easy and I really didn’t need much of it either which I was really impressed by. It also helped that it smells amazing, very fresh but nothing overpowering. Just great.

I was also worried about what my hair would be like when it was dry. For reference I leave my hair to dry naturally because I’m not a fan on applying heat on hair unless needed. When it was completely dry it felt a lot softer than usual and just all round felt healthier. It has really made such a difference to my hair, a small change but amazing results.

I absolutely love this product and I am SO glad I took the plunge and tried something new. Sometimes it’s good to go out of your comfort zone and try something new. Especially when you are stuck in a rut like I was! I love it so much that I actually mentioned it in my December Favourites which is completely unheard of, adding a hair care product into the mix. I think I will be saying goodbye to my beloved The Body Shop detangler and hello to this new beauty.

You can find further information about this product here

Let me know if you have tried this before and what your thoughts are on it – I would love to know. Also if you have any recommendations for other leave in conditioners I’d love to try some more!

  1. I love the John Frieda shampoos but have never tried any of their other products! I’m in the same boat as you I have very fine hair that is always tangled in a knot! So I will definitely be trying this out thanks for the recommendation!! x

  2. I love John Frieda products! Lately I’ve taken to putting a little coconut oil in the back of my hair (the dreadlock zone) at the start of my shower and after a few minutes I wash my hair as normal. It seems to keep that matted hair at bay
