MAC Lipstick Collection

Hello my lovelies,

So I am a lover of lipstick, a true die hard fan. I cannot go outside the house with make up on and not apply lipstick. It makes my face and I LOVE wearing bright lips. Nudes are not really for me, I love trying new colours!

My first high end lipstick was MAC and I have never looked back. Of course I have other brands of lipsticks but they never seem to fail me. I remember my first time going into a MAC store and buying ‘Girl About Town’ and the love story began. I now have 15 of them and I’m always on the hunt to pick up new ones there are just so many colours to choose from!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Russian Red, Matte Finish

Who doesn’t love a classic red? Weirdly this is one of my least used lipsticks. I always think it’s good to have red lipsticks in your collection but I never am drawn to wearing them..

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Girl About Town, Amplified

So I actually have two of these, my lovely friend Charlotte knew how much I loved this lipstick and picked me a second one up when she visited Las Vegas so  I didn’t run out. This will always be one of my favorites, I think more so because it brings me back to walking into MAC for the first time and realising I was  falling in love with make up. At the same time it is a beautiful bright pink shade.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Up the Amp, Amplified

So wow this is a bright purple, I don’t know why I picked this one up. I have worn it properly maybe once a few years ago. This summer I will whipping this out with no shame. I love a purple lip dark or light, who cares what other people think right?

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Whirl, Matte

So who doesn’t love this colour? The craze after Velvet Teddy and I love this so much. This is my favourite lipstick in my MAC collection at the moment. I am loving the dark nude lip and is perfect for day to day wear.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Velvet Teddy, Matte

So yes I own this, of course I do! It took me a long while to get my hands on it and I was happy at the time I got it but it’s too dull for me now. It’s never something I am drawn to any more. I am determined to get the bottom of this and finish it though. This would be my first ever lipstick I have finished and I personally think this would be an amazing achievement.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Chatterbox, Amplified

A nice pink shade and a shade I don’t hear much about. More recently it isn’t a shade I am drawn to but it doesn’t offend me. When I am not wearing a lot of makeup this is the sort of shade I go towards. Who doesn’t love pink?

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Speed Dial, Cremesheen

Another pink shade, ok yes I love pink. This has blue undertones which is probably why I am drawn to it more than speed dial. I want to look like I have pearly white teeth and is exactly what this does. If I am undecided on what to wear I normally end up wearing this.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Steam Heat, Satin

So who doesn’t love limited edition packaging? I think this is what drew me to this lipstick. Again this isn’t a lipstick I wear an awful lot but it is a beautiful red shade. I think it’s because it’s a satin finish I’m not really drawn to it, not my most favourite finish from MAC I’m afraid..

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Morange, Amplified

So this is my summer lipstick of choice. I love wearing orange lipsticks in the summer and MAC have completely nailed it with this one. I have the lip liner to match and when the warmer months come in the UK this is what I’ll be wearing!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Antique Velvet, Matte

So I love this colour, in fact I am obsessed. This is the latest addition to my collection and I love it so much. It isn’t to everyone’s taste but I will rock it and I don’t care what anyone else thinks. Who doesn’t want a deep dark brown colour with a hint of purple?

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Impassioned, Amplified

I like this colour, it’s more of a pinky coral colour. I wear this again in the summer but  it’s a colour I always forget I have. I’m not sure why its a forgettable shade in my collection and I’m hoping I will wear this more..

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Lady Danger, Matte

This is another summer colour, a red/orange shade which I love. Another newish lipstick to my collection which I adore. Stupidly I brought this towards the end of summer so I haven’t had much wear out of this yet. Roll on the summer months!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Hot Tahiti, Glaze

I really don’t like this one much. First off I don’t like the glaze formula I’m so much more of a matte girl as you can tell. It’s just all a bit pointless. Annoyingly I really like the shade and my sister pulls it off so well but it just isn’t for me.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Rebel, Satin

Last but not least it’s a purple. In fact one of my most favourite purples that I own. It’s everything I want in a colour. As it’s a satin I do always wear a lip liner underneath because I like the dark matte lip as apposed to a more sheer finish. Personal preference though of course.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

So there is my lovely MAC lipstick collection that I am sure will be growing as time goes by. As you can tell I love the matte and amplified finishes. Let me know what your favourite ones are as I am always on the hunt to try new colours!

Review – YSL Volume Effect Faux Cils Mascara

Hello my lovelies,

So I love mascara, it instantly transforms the eye area. I love my lashes to be long and voluminous – what girl doesn’t!? I always seem to struggle with finding the perfect mascara, I am never 100% happy. I either seem to get length or volume never both, I just seem to apply two different mascaras to get the desired effect. Who wants to be doing this all the time- certainly not me!

I have tried a lot of mascaras in my time ranging from the drug store and high end and I haven’t ever completely fell in love. I was recently gifted the YSL Volume Effect Faux Cils Mascara see here from my lovely boyfriend. Now I had never heard much about it and I hadn’t asked for it but nevertheless I was happy to try it out.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

I love YSL beauty and I am slowly growing a little collection of it. Who doesn’t want this beautiful make up sitting pretty in their collection!? I am a sucker for packaging and this one really did win me over. It’s so simple but it’s just so elegant with the YSL logo, don’t you agree?

So as you know I look for volume and length and by the name of the mascara it was going to give me volume, good start right? The brush itself is fairly thin with small bristles, at first I was worried it wasn’t going to give me a volume as it isn’t a brush I’m used to but nevertheless I wasn’t going to let this stop me.

The consistency of the mascara itself is pretty thick, a little of this stuff really does go a long way. Sometimes I feel I need to wipe a little off the brush when I take it out, but this is merely my personal preference. My oh my this mascara is impressive, it really does give both volume and length and you don’t need to sit there for hours applying coat after coat. I usually apply 1 coat for day to day and if I am going out, out then 2 and I’m good to go.

It holds the curl in my lashes amazingly and instantly widens my eyes. It’s never a pain to remove which is another thing I look out for. I have some mascaras that are a bugger to remove and it really irritates me. I want a mascara that easily applied and easily removed is this really so hard to ask for!?

The only downside to this mascara that I have found while using this is that when I apply this to my bottom lashes, after a few hours it does seem to create a lovely panda ring at the bottom of my eyes, this is my pet hate it’s not like I have oily eye lashes! Anyway I overcome this by just applying a different mascara on my bottom lashes. My choice of bottom lash mascara if you are interested to know if the Benefit Roller Lash.

Although this is one downside it’s highly annoying because I still have to use two mascaras to get my desired effect, all be it not for volume or length but merely for my bottom lashes. I really do love this mascara and it’s something I always find myself drawn to when I want my lashes to look fabulous but I don’t think it’s THE one.

My quest for my perfect mascara goes on, but I’ll happily enjoy this YSL beauty for the time being. Please let me know what your favorite mascaras are as I love trying them out!

Top 3 – Cleansers

Hello my  lovelies,

In the last couple of years I have realised that having a skin care routine is as important in being able to apply your make up like a pro. When I first started getting into make up I didn’t realise that taking your make up off correctly and spending time on your skin was something that you needed to do. I slowly realised that if you have a good starting base then your make up is a lot easier to apply.

Looking back it seems like a no brainer and I really wish I started this sooner. This is where cleansers come into play, I used to watch a lot of YouTubers use a cleaner and think does it really work? Yes, yes it really does! It’s a game changer and now I find it the best way to remove make up and cleanse the skin.

I have a lot of cleansers and I change them up regularly I’m always buying new cleansers and seeing what they can do for my skin. As I am getting older I find myself buying more skincare than I do make up, which is pretty hard to believe but I think it’s so important. I love wearing make up but there is nothing better than after a long day going to the bathroom and removing all your make up with a cleanser!

The products I am sharing with you today are my cleansers that are my go to’s. I always seem to come back to these, especially when my skin is not in great shape.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Soap and Glory – Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk See Here

I have written a full review about this cleanser see here and I completely fell in love with it. Although I haven’t had this for very long it is pretty impressive in my eyes . It melts away my make up so easily including my eye make up which I have found pretty hard to find in cleansers. My skin feels so smooth after using this and sometimes I don’t even apply a moisturiser because I don’t feel like I need it. Other times it’s down to me being lazy but I never wake up feeling that my skin is missing something.

I use around 5 pumps of this depending on how much make up I have on and I never feel like I have missed any make up. Another plus is that it smells amazing although I don’t like the taste of peaches the smell  is incredible – very fresh which is exactly what I am after in a cleanser.

Liz Earle – Cleanse and Polish see here

If you have read any of my skincare posts then you will know how much I love Liz Earle as a brand. Every product I use of theirs I am never disappointed and instantly fall in love. The cleanse and polish is no different and was the first product I tried out of theirs. It got to the point where every one and their nan had this but me and I wanted to see what all the hype was about.

Believe me it is worth it! The ingredients within the product make it so inviting and it instantly calms me and makes me feel clean. A little goes a long way and when I apply it onto my skin I feel like I’m at the spa having a facial. It glides onto the skin removing all my make up along the way as well as all the dirt that is collected throughout the day – which I know is not a nice thought but this does the trick in removing it all.

This cleanser will forever be my favourite and I haven’t come across anything that will take it’s place. My only slight downfall to this is that my eyes are sensitive and when I have too much product around my eye area they do sting a little. As soon as I apply a warm flannel to the area this instantly goes away. It’s probably me being heavy handed sometimes but I just want to warn you if you do have sensitive eye areas.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Ren – Rosa Hot Cloth Cleanser see here

This was the first cleaner I ever brought, I’m not sure why but when I first had the idea of buying a cleanser I thought this was the one to try out. I truly fell in love with cleansers when I tried this I just knew that it would forever be a change in how I remove make up. It has no scent to it, which actually I love because it has never aggravated my skin in any way.

It removes absolutely everything on my skin, well all the bad stuff anyway. Whenever I am having a bad time with my skin this is the one I reach for because for me it has nothing in it that flares my skin up. I feel like I have new skin after I have used this as my skin feels soft and clean literally like a baby’s bum! I feel like Ren as a brand is so underrated and I don’t know why because their products are sensational and at the same price point as Liz Earle. If you are after trying a new skin care brand I would advise you to take a look at their website.

Let me know if you have tried any of these cleansers before and your thoughts on them. I would also love to know what your favourite cleansers are as I am always on the hunt for trying new products!

January Buys

Hello lovelies,

So I went a little crazy in the month of January, I’m not sure why but who cares. I’m happy with all of my purchases and that is all that matters. I am so happy I am finally writing this post so I can actually use all these products I have been dying to use!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

I love Superdrug, I wanted to have a good look at the MUA and Make Up Revolution stands as I always forget about them and everything is always sold out of products that I want. Luckily, when I went in their on the trips I did I was lucky to pick up some good finds!

Make Up Revolution – Flawless Eyeshadow Palette see here

I have been wanting to try out some different colours on my eyes and I have a few of their palettes and I am quite impressed with their pigmentation so I thought this was the perfect way to try some new looks out. I will write a review about this and let you know how I get on!

Make Up Revolution – Ultra Contour Palette  see here

My lovely best friend Nadia actually convinced me to buy this and I am easily swayed so it didn’t take much if I am honest! I am excited to try some new contour products as I am currently stuck in a rut with the products I am using.

Make Up Revolution – Love the Revolution Palette see here

I actually received this free because I spent over £12 on Make Up Revolution Products in one go. It has some lovely eye shadows as well as a gorgeous highlighter in the middle. I am hoping I will love this, of course I will write a review on this as I haven’t heard much about this!

Make Up Revolution – Pro Precision Brush, Oval Face see here

I have been wanting to get my hands on this for the longest time but it has always been out of stock. When I saw it there was only one left and I thought it was fate and I picked it up. I am really hoping it lives up to my expectations!

Barry M Nail Polishes

I brought the shades: Dragster, Sprint Finish and Black Current. I wanted some darker shades to my collection and I haven’t brought anything from Barry M for quite some time. I can’t wait to paint my nails with these shades.

Miss Sporty – Just Clear Mascara see here

I use this to set my eye brows into place as it’s cheap and cheerful. My one is looking pretty grim so I thought it was about time to buy a new one. It is never top of my list to buy so I am glad I can start a brand new one!

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in Kooky see here

I have heard quite a lot about these in the blogging world and I thought it was about time I brought one to see what all the fuss was about. I don’t own many MUA products any more but I love the colour of this so I am really hoping that it is a nice formula.

Garnier Micellar Water see here

A firm favourite in my skincare routine I was running low and I can’t be without it so I thought it was best to stock up while it was on offer.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes – I love these cleansing wipes and as I used my last packet recently I popped in to stock up. 2 pack for £1 can’t complain!

2 Pack Tweezers – I have been after a pair of tweezers for quite some time. I am a sucker for anything copper so I couldn’t really walk away without buying it. I am hoping they are good – but who knows!

PS Love.. – Velvet Matte Lipstick Crayon in Wine – I have never tried any make up from Primark and every time I go in there it really looks like they have upped their game. As so many people have reviewed and actually been quite impressed with the make up I thought I would try a lipstick. I will be writing a review on this so keep your eyes peeled.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

I love House of Fraser I spend hours in their and find myself buying things I don’t need. I am always so easily swayed  – I think people on the make up stands see me coming, but actually I am quite excited to try everything I have brought!

Benefit – Precisely My Brow Pencil in Shade 4 see here

I recently run out of mine, so I quickly went to go get a new one as I love it so much. The whole new eyebrow range from Benefit is pretty impressive and I would recommend to anyone to head down to their local stand and try it out.

MAC – Matte Lipstick in Antique Rose see here

I have wanted a new MAC lipstick for quite some time, I wanted to try something different and I stumbled across this colour. It is a beautiful deep brown colour with red and purple under tones. I love the formulation I cannot wait to apply this!

Estee Lauder – Advanced Night Mirco Cleansing Balm see here

I have been wanting to try a new cleansing balm for quite some time. A lady on my local Estee Lauder counter allowed me to try this and I fell in love. It really is a beautiful product. I cannot wait to add this to my skincare routine. I will be of course posting a review on this so keep your eyes peeled!

Estee Lauder – Double Wear Stay in Place Flawless Wear Concealer  in 2C light medium see here

So I have the Double Wear foundation and I love it. I’m always keen to buy the matching concealers to the foundations I love. I am hoping I love this as much as I love the foundation.

As I brought two Estee Lauder products I received lots of lovely free products which includes:

Estee Lauder – Take it Away Make Up Remover Lotion

Estee Lauder – Revitalizing Supreme Face Mask

Estee Lauder – Revitalizing Supreme+ Cream

Estee Lauder – Advanced Night Repair

Estee Lauder – Advanced Night Repair Eye Cream

Estee Lauder – Double Wear Stay in Place Lip Liner in  08 Spice

Estee Lauder – Pure Colour Envy Lipstick in Intense Nude

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Prince Charming Shower Cream see here

I wanted a new shower gel from Lush and I came across the limited edition range for Valentines. I am a sucker for anything Limited edition so I thought I would pick it up. It smells amazing – more of a fruity scent. I cannot wait to start using this – I am going to smell amazing!

W7 – Beat it Eye Shadow Pallet

I have been wanting to try something from W7 for the longest time. I was so surprised when I saw this in store and I thought now was the time to finally buy it. It was only £6 so it was hardly breaking the bank! The shades are beautiful and I cannot wait to try these out

NYX – Soft Matte Lip Cream Trio 06 see here

I love the Soft Matte Lip Creams and I am trying to be a little more daring with my lips and I thought this would be the perfect place to start. The shades in the set include: Copenhagen, Vancouver and Havana. I am so excited to try these out and I hope that I can pull off the shades.

Pure Clean Milk & Tone see here

I recently this mentioned in my January Favorites I have run out of this so I quickly went to my local Kiko store to pick one up. Slowly becoming one of my favourite ever products.

Becca – Shimmering Skin Perfecter in Champagne Pop see here

I am over the moon that I can finally say I own this little beauty. I mean it is just pure highlighting heaven and I cannot wait to put this on my cheeks and feel amazing!

February Wishlist

Hello lovelies,

So it’s that time of the month again where I sit here wishing of all the products I want to buy in the month ahead. I mainly wish for unlimited money so I wouldn’t have to create these posts, but until then I’ll sit and admire a few products from afar hoping that I can get my hands on them!

Benefit – They’re Real Eye Liner see here

Very recently I was lucky enough to visit the Benefit Counter in Guildford to have a complimentary makeover. Obviously I was not going to turn this down! The lovely lady Hannah used the Push Up liner to create a winged liner, i know i am awful at this and I have never have been able to master this but she made it look easy. Obviously she is a make up artist so she is a pro but the way she applied this was so effortlessly and I fell in love. Since walking away I regret not picking it up. I will get my hands on this!

YSL – Touche Eclat Blur Primer see here

Now I am always on the hunt for new primers, although I love the ones I have I just feel there is always room for one more. I have tried this a few times whilst passing their stands and I’m always so impressed. It has flecks of gold glitter running through it to give your skin a little more glow which I love. I need to stop walking past it and actually investing the money and buy it!

Jo Malone – Early Grey and Cucumber Cologne see here

So a few weeks ago I took my lovely best friend into Jo Malone for the very first time and I think she was quite impressed. We spent a while smelling all the wonderful fragrances that they offer and we stumbled across this one which I have never smelt before and we both fell in love. I mean I struggled to walk out of the shop empty handed because it was just perfect. I keep thinking about it, I mean on a daily basis. I seriously need to get my hands on this & fast!

Zoeva – Rose Golden Palette see here

I currently have the Naturally Yours palette from Zoeva and I love it. The pigmentation is so impressive and the colours are beautiful. I have been eyeing up this palette for quite some time and the colours are just calling my name. I am going to IMATs this year and I know Zoeva is stocked their but I think I may have to purchase this before then! I have heard so many reviews about this and I think I am going to have to cave in!

Emma Hardie – Moringa Cleansing Balm see here

Recently I have been getting into cleansing balms and I keep adding this to my basket and never actually buying it. I’m not sure why but I know I really want it. This year I have vowed to invest more into my skincare as I believe it’s so important and I think this would be a perfect addition to my collection.

Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what your opinions are of them!

Empties #3

Hello my lovelies,

I honestly didn’t realise these posts would be so frequent. It’s actually quite interesting keeping your empty products to see exactly what you get through.  I used to think I never finished anything very often but clearly I am wrong on this!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Lush – Snow Fairy Shower Gel

As you may or may not know, the Snow Fairy scent is limited edition for the Christmas period and I absolutely frigging love it! I wish that this is a scent they bring out all year round as it’s simply amazing. The smell is very sweet, like candy floss and has little glitter particles in it. Don’t worry this doesn’t really transfer onto the skin it’s just cute. The smell lingers for ages especially in the bathroom I always smell it the next morning I mean what more could you want. I’m sad I have finished this bottle but fear not I have another two bottles lined up which I am going to stagger throughout the year.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Jo Malone – Peony & Blush Suede Cologne see here

This is a sample size which I got when I had a complimentary hand and arm massage from the wonderful team at Jo Malone. It’s a lovely floral scent which sits on the skin beautifully and lasts all day. I have a few other scents from Jo Malone and every single one of them I adore. I know this is a sample size but it really does take me a long while to finish a fragrance I’m not very loyal I just pick whatever I fancy. I don’t think I’m going to rush out and buy the full size as I have so many but this is definitely on my list to purchase!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Primark – Oval Cosmetic Pads & Sure – Invisible Aqua Deodorant

I mentioned these in my previous empties post, see here so head on over there to see what I think about these.

Simple – Kind to Skin Smoothing Facial Scrub see here

I use face exfoliators in the shower, it just seems to work for me and I use it around 2/3 times a week. I believe exfoliators are an important part in a skincare routine and shouldn’t be forgotten about.  This Simple one is pretty impressive, I sometimes fear that some face exfoliators are harsh on the skin but this one is quite fine which means it doesn’t damage the skin. I think this is the best one I have tried if I am honest. It easily removes the dead skin cells from your face along with any dirt and leaves the skin feeling extremely soft. I always have another one in my drawer ready to use when one runs out!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Benefit – Precisely, My Brow Pencil (shade 4) see here

This is pretty impressive, I never usually use a brow pencil to fill in my brows but when I went to the Benefit counter in Brighton they completely changed my outlook on it. I use this brow pencil to fill in the front of my brow for a lighter look. I love it, it’s so easy to use. The only annoying this is because it’s a twist up pencil you don’t realise when it runs out so it was a shock when this did run out. I have since finishing this already brought a new one because nothing compares to this!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Dove – Fine Silk Caring Cream Bath see here

I had this in a Christmas gift set from 2015, I know I have had it for a while! I finally found a use for this a couple of months back as I found it was the perfect consistency for a shaving cream. My legs felt so smooth after using this and actually smells quite nice. I don’t think I would repurchase this as I don’t usually go out to buy shaving cream but I am glad I found a use for this as I can’t bear to throw out products that I haven’t used.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Yes To – Soothing Facial Wipes see here

I received these in a Birchbox quite some time ago when I had a subscription with them, and thought these would be handy to use to remove make up off my hands etc. If you have already seen my post Cleansers VS Make Up Wipes you would know I don’t use wipes to remove my make up from my face. Unfortunately I didn’t like them, they didn’t remove my make up very easily even on my hand. It was probably the worst type of cleansing wipes I have ever used. I have seen a few people review this brand and really like it but they aren’t for me. I won’t be repurchasing these again I’m afraid.

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Kiko – Pure Clean Milk & Tone see here

I LOVE this stuff! I have recently been pretty lazy recently with my skincare but this has been a massive help as it cleanses and tones all in one! I mentioned this in my January Favorites as I am so impressed with it. I have gone through a few bottles of this now and I don’t think I can live with out it. It is so quick and easy to use, and leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. What more could you want! I have already brought a new bottle of this stuff so fear not!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Collection – Lasting Perfection Concealer (cool medium) see here

This is my all time favourite concealer. I have tried a lot of different concealers in my time and nothing competes to this one. It does the trick for everything I want, it covers the under eyes and blemishes. I think everyone and their dog has this concealer and actually I have never heard a bad word about it. It blends easily and is the perfect shade for me. What’s more it’s only £4.19! I always find that with concealers they run out so quickly which annoys me something chronic but this one definitely doesn’t break the bank so I’ll happily keep on buying this until it is no more!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Primark – Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes

Now as you know I don’t use wipes to remove my make up off my face but they are always handy to have for any mistake or removing swatches etc. off your hand. These are the best ones I have tried – ever. They are perfect and even when I remove my make up , very rarely may I add, with a make up wipe this is the only one I will use. I don’t feel like these dry out my skin and they aren’t too bad at removing make up. I always have a pack of these lined up to use as I simply can’t use anything else!

January Favorites

Hello my lovelies,

So January is normally a time when it is all doom and gloom and New Year resolutions flop and it’s just pretty miserable. For me, I have had a pretty incredible month both personally and blogging wise and I couldn’t be happier.

I have been loving quite a lot of different products whether they are new or rediscovered products that I have fallen back in love with…

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Zoevea – Naturally Yours Eyeshadow Palette See Here

I have had this in my collection for around 6 months now and I am well and truly impressed. I am a natural eyeshadow kind of girl and I never really shy away from my comfort zone which obviously why I picked this palette up. They are all pretty shimmery shades and they are incredibly pigmented.

These seriously compete with the likes of Urban Decay, they are pretty impressive. I have used this palette nearly every day of this month and I cannot stop using it! They are perfect shades to wear on their own or to build up and create a more bold look. I cannot wait to get my hands on some more Zoevea eyeshadow palettes!

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Charlotte Tilbury – The Dolce Vita Eyeshadow Palette See Here

Another eye shadow palette I have been absolutely loving is from Charlotte Tilbury. I won’t say too much on this as a review will be going up on my blog about it in a lot more depth but my oh my its a beauty. I always wear this when I am going somewhere a little special and the quad just creates the most beautiful smokey eye look.

I have two of these palettes now and this is by far my favourite, these colours are slightly out of my comfort zone and slowly I am trying new shades and this was the perfect way to push me in the right direction! If you do not own this palette then you should go buy it because it is truly amazing!

NARS – All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in Mont Blanc See Here

This is is also a recent purchase that I had been eyeing up for quite some time. I went into the lovely Space NK to get colour matched and I instantly fell in love. I suffer with oily skin sometimes so this is perfect as it is more of a matte finish. This literally feels like I am not wearing anything and it stays on all day!

I don’t wear this every day as I leave it for more special occasions as I am happy using drug store foundations on a day to day basis. A review for this product will also be live on my blog soon to give you a true indication of what I think along with the draw backs as nothing is perfect! Just know that I absolutely love it and I am so happy I have this in my life!

Jo Malone – English Pear and Freesia Candle See Here

So this scent is heaven to me, I actually have the perfume which I mentioned in my Top 3 – Perfumes. Because I loved the perfume so much I decided to buy the candle form. I have had this sitting on display for quite some time because it looked too pretty and expensive to burn. However when the new year came I thought sod it I brought it to burn not to look at and I am so glad I made that decision

The scent fills the room instantly, it feels like I am at a spa and I feel well and truly relaxed when I am burning this. You don’t have to burn it for very long either as the scent it pretty powerful. I am awful at describing scents so the link above will help you with what it smells off because I am rubbish!

I am going to be extremely sad when this runs out but I think the scent will remain in the pot for quite some time after! Jo Malone really do some incredible scents, if you have never been into a store I would really recommend you do its a lovely experience!

L’Oreal – Pure Clay Detox Mask see here

The post before this was actually a review on this product, see here so I won’t repeat myself but I would just add I have recently recommended this to my mum and she loves it! I am slowly telling every one I know to buy this face mask as it really is a game changer!

Kiko – Pure Clean Cleansing Milk and Tonic Lotion See Here

I have been loving this product for quite some time now but even more so in the month of January. Recently I have become a little lazy with removing my make up and not wanting to go through the process of using a hot cloth cleanser, which is where this product comes in for me.

I will not use cleansing wipes and I feel for my foundation and face make up my Garnier Micellar Water doesn’t get into my skin deep enough to clean the skin. With this being a cleansing milk and toner in one this cleanses and tones all in one hit – winning! At the moment as I am so busy anything to cut corners but not disrupt my skincare routine too much is a bonus. This product leaves my skin feeling so soft and I always feel that I am left with super clean skin afterwards. I have brought bottles of this stuff and long may it continue!

YSL  – Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils See Here

So I had never heard of this mascara until I opened my present on Christmas day to find my lovely boyfriend went to a YSL counter and chose it out for me. I am totally impressed by this product, normally I am a little worried about trying a high end mascara and not liking it but I have fallen in love. I use this near enough every day and I don’t think I could be without it.

I have short stubby lashes so anything that is lengthening and volumising is a winner for me. This product does both and it really is a false lash effect like the name suggests. Keep your eyes peeled for a full review of this on my blog as I have so much to say about this product! Well done to my boyfriend, Tom for picking this out for me!

Review – L’Oreal Pure Clay Detox Mask

Hello my lovelies,

So I love face masks, there is nothing better than having a pamper evening and applying a face mask to give your skin some goodness. I normally use a face mask once a week I know they always recommend this to be more frequent but I don’t feel like my skin needs it.

Towards the end of last year L’Oreal launched their Pure Clay face mask range, now for whatever reason it took me a while to pick these up and try them. I thought I would start off with the Pure Clay Detox Mask, see here

As you can tell I have used this quite a few times, I would say I have used this 4 times and I guess I have around two thirds left. First off I quite like the packaging, its a glass jar which I think makes it feel that little more luxurious, the top is plastic which easily unscrews. It also has a plastic plug to stop the product drying out especially if you haven’t screwed the top on properly.

I am a massive lover of clay masks, for some reason I just feel like they are attacking your skin a little more with goodness and removing impurities especially as the products starts to harden the longer you have it on your face, maybe this is just me!

As soon as you open the pot the smell is inviting, it smells very fresh and clean and it makes you want to put it on your skin. I’m not sure whether it’s the clay within the mask that produces the smell or what but I love it! I find with some face masks they don’t smell very nice and it really does put me off applying them to my face.

I apply this like any normal face mask, probably with a bit of speed as it does set quite quickly. It’s very thick in consistency like with any clay mask so its very easy to apply to much to your skin. Once its set it advises you to leave on for around 10 minutes. I just leave it on until I can’t move my lips or eyebrows which actually isn’t too far away from 10 minutes.

Before I take this off I always look in the mirror to see if I can tell if it is actually doing anything. To my amazement you can see everything! It creates little dots around your face of where it is drawing the impurities out from, it makes it very easy to see where your problem areas are which I think is pretty impressive! This obviously doesn’t look very nice to other people but I thought it was very interesting. I haven’t ever actually seen this with any other clay mask I have tried so I was pretty impressed.

When I washed the mask off my face the sign that I always look out for to know how good a mask really is, is the touch test. My oh my, my skin feels like a baby’s bum after I applied this I have never felt anything so soft! I apply a little moisturiser after but I really don’t think my face needs it what so ever.

Overall, I literally cannot fault this product I am well and truly impressed and it is the only face mask I have been using recently! It does exactly what it says on the tin and my skin looks amazing for it. The price point of these is around £8 and I reckon you could get at least 9 uses out of this if not more so it’s less than £1 per time! I couldn’t recommend this any more. If any one is looking for a new face mask then you need to pop down to your local drugstore to pick this up!

Let me know if you have tried this product and what your thoughts were!
